How did you last die?

my last recent death was by turrets of Missile Silo when im trying to find a city to sleep.

i don’t know why but turrets now feels like a pain in the butt.

did the mansion holdout scenario, walked into a room and tried to escape through the window, goddamn zombie hulk greeted me, tried to escape, hulk threw a bed at me and severely injured my leg, tried to escape again, hulk caught up and beat me to death.

10/10 game

That was like a month ago? Yeah, probably. My character ‘Blaze’ worked as security worker in the prison. He cleared entire place from zombies and locked secubots in east and west wings of building. After clearing part of town I was dumbfound. My hp, in hand regions, were around 1/5 of maxiumum value. Why?! I looked and saw this… I didn’t have and gloves (freezing). Toggled to run mod and charged in to prison… with turned on flashlight… and was shred by secubots… The End. (Probably my most stupid death xD)

I set up a primitive but sweet kill corridor for a bunch of zombies using fire and pits. Or so I thought.
Worked well enough for the first dozen or so, tripping in pits, trampling one another and burning while getting their unliving daylights punched out by my sombrero-wearing pugilist jacked up on herbal tea and caffeinated chewing gum. Then, during a lull in the stream of walking dead I thought I would add another 2 by 4 to the bonfire using the [/] inventory management key. Moments later I am on fire, far away from any pond. RIP. Always remember to run away BEFORE shit hits the fandango

I snuck up to a bandit cabin, pried open a window and threw a grenade inside. The bandits start yelling that they gotta get out of there before its too late. Although apparently one of them had other things in mind because a moment later my grenade flies back out the window and lands near me. Needless to say, it didn’t end well for me.

Fought a horde of zeds in a city like a superman I amwas, then a chickenwalker chickenwalked around a corner and grenaded the snot out of everything, me included.
e: needless to say, safe mode was turned off. We really need multilevel safemode, like ignore regular zeds but stop for bigger threats. No, whitelisting isn’t an option, I want to be aware of even regular zeds while nightraiding or some such. Or different swappable whitelists, maybe?

Refused to back down from a wasp fight, even when I was getting my limbs shredded. Turned out unarmored melee’s a bad idea. :u

Had Spores and was trying to quickly make some antifungal stuff. It was pitch black, so I lit a fire to try and get some light…

And for some reason, my whole house exploded all at once.

A bit frustrating, honestly, since I’m still not sure why it happened.

Wow, is there a world area effect that I’m not aware of? How could that even happen?

My only guess would be that I vomited out some spores, and MAYBE they’re explosive? But it was a full Derelict Property and the whole thing went up, so I’m still unsure.

Demon Spiderling bites got infected, so Father Agaeus decided to simply purify all he could. He set as many buildings ablaze as possible, and slaughtered more than three hundred undead before succumbing to his wounds.

He made it to day six.

I was living in a swanky top-floor apartment, mostly getting in and out via the fire escape so as not to arouse the suspicions of yon demons, and I discovered that the fire escape let me climb to the roof. Only, when I got up there, I wasn’t able to climb down, so I decided to jump where I knew the fire escape was, figuring it would catch me and hoping I wouldn’t die.

Spoilers: it didn’t, and I did.

My last death was while crafting in what appeared to be a safer spot, suddenly receiving interrupts which I ignored only to have the building collapse on top of me (leaving me trapped in rubble) while revealing a yugg that then shot me to death through my survivor armor, I think it was day 45 or so of the first summer.

Was the first time I saw a yugg, also have no idea how I missed the tear in reality, or can they spawn after world generation?

There was a point (a build) where they used to spawn wherever but it was later changed to tear-only. Which made them incredibly rare, excepting portal-riddled hellscapes like research facilities. Where I have only encountered their lifeless remains. Likely due to reinforced concrete being rather poor choice for the purposes of burrowing.
But maybe their spawn conditions were changed again in the last month or thereabouts.

I did see the tear in reality before I succumbed to his nasty attacks, had I been closer to my vehicle I probably could have shot him to death with my slingshot cannon, those lead balls are pretty great. Just a good reason to not ignore “shuffling” and sounds coming from the other side of the wall.

Not sure if the tear was already there though or if it spawned while I was there.

Maybe instead of shuffling sounds it could be said they make a burrowing sound or the like. Shuffling immediately had me assuming that it was just a stray zombie or two.

Set a fire outside a hospital to lure zombies outside, figuring I could handle them more easily that way. Did not bring any of my gazillion loaded guns because I was concerned about the noise attracting more zombies. Failed to recognize when I was heinously outnumbered and retreat. Real conga line of bad decisions, TBH.

Right, I finished my electrical project on my home base, nice and comfy now. Let’s explore the lab a few blocks away that I’ve been curious about. No keycard to swipe, but it’s fine. I’ve got a jackhammer. I take the elevator down, and right away there are so many monsters, but my trusty fire axe makes short work of them, and I’m protected by this turnout coat.

There is so much interesting stuff down here. I’ll take this… and this. I don’t know much about chemistry…, so we’ll leave these here. What’s that? A “bio-operator”? He looks tough! Well, this is why I brought my emergency weapon. A grenade! Oh, where was it?! Ah, here! The pin is pulled and here goes! Ack, what an awful throw…it’s right in front of me. Whatever, getting out of here! But wait, I dropped my fire axe in the scramble. Lemme pick that up first.

Simply trade a ranged weapon for their machete, and they shall wield it.
Do be sure that they have some skill with ranged weapons, though.

A thug shot me 3 times from a pistol. I was confident that 5 shots from my shotgun is enough, but NOPE.
That sucker tanked 5 direct hits from a shotgun (2 of which is at point blank range) with casual clothing on
Sometimes I feel that the developer is overbuffing NPC

Was exhausted from running, and got summarily yeeted into a brick wall by a aquatic zombie hulk. I didn’t even know that they could swim!
