Eskrima + My survivor’s machete has carried me through to where my character is today; I can’t see anything more appropriate. I was thinking God of Thread because it rhymes with Dredd, and I’m a spider, but nah.

Burnt their remains with incendiary grenades and cooked a piece of meat over their smouldering ruins. Best piece of meat I’ve ever tasted.

If you’re wondering why I didn’t take damage - believe me, I did. I just used a bunch of bandages and oxycodone in the middle of the fight whilst the last jabberwock was after me. My head and torso took a large beating, but everything else was okay. No hydraulic muscles? No problem if you have a few webs and your wits at your disposal!

Pretty shure that’s that’s tottaly 100% against the J-9 rules XD. don’t you have to be completely surrounded at all times?

Nope. You start with a jabberwock on each of the surrounding tiles and one on your own, placed via the debug menu. After that, your character fights as best xe can. If you’re an Arachnid and you use your webs to make space, well, the original 1Kpoint char that inspired the J-9 used Dragon Strikes and knocked 'em back, so she made space too.

(Trivia: the J-9 came about when I was trying out the expanded point cap and was grasping for something to seriously endanger that character. She barely took a scratch.)

Maybe we should take the J-9 to the next level and turn it into the J-21, which would be two layers of jabberwocks around your character. Now THAT sounds like a challenge.

Stuck in my web

Everything is easier with webs, meth, and your trusty machete! Had to blast my way out with short shotgun frag rounds and almost died from that, but being a field medic is quite useful and life-saving in combination with my slowing webs. Also a little annoyed because some of the jabberwocks began to attack eachother, but I soon got their attention again with my grenades.

Killed a fungal tower with no environmental protection. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to have royal jelly with antifungal drugs mixed in for dinner, and activate my blood filter CBM.

EDIT: Decided to kill the rest of the enemies. The structure may stand, but it is merely an empty shell, never to spread fungus again.
