I had two makeshift funnels set up outside with a gallon jug under each one. Weather cycle was something like Acid drizzle, Acid rain, Acid Drizzle, Acid rain. I waited through the several hours and when I checked not a drop was collected in either.
Additionally, prior to this experiment, I had been using plastic jerry cans under the same funnels for weeks, and was concerned that only water was being collected. I assumed that the large volume of water in each container had negated the potential for contamination. That must not be so.
