I’m aching to experience new things as I uncover the world and I’m not interested in starting over atm. Google tells me it is possible by editing a json file but I don’t see any in any of the cdda folders.

Don’t forget to backup your files.
Go to your cata game folder find the save folder then the world folder that you want to edit and the mods.json edit that with the notepad of your choice
And place the word “aftershock”, on the json like this
