Can craft while too sad

I’m playing a new character who is a hobo starting with alcohol withdrawal. However I’ve noticed I can craft some things even while too sad. This may be due to changes to the crafting system and how you now end up with an in progress item, but that’s as much as I can guess.

I think this is only for certain items or things below your skill level from memory.
It was implemented for people dying of thirst because they’re too sad to boil water, or starving because they can’t cook a very basic meal

That’s actually kind of cool. Though I guess a death by self loathing is no longer possible, which I have mixed feelings about.
