Butchering with knife spear?

is it WASD that the knife spear cannot butcher corpses or a bug?
i mean it has a cutting quality of 1 and u need a knife to make it, but i can imagine that it 'd be awkward to butcher/skin with this…

I think a spike affixed to a stick would be hard to cut up bodies with.

agreed, but then it’d be also be very hard to cauterize a wound, which is possible with it…

Makeshift knife: spike + 2 short strings.

If the spike can butcher a corpse, sticking it on a stick should just be a more cumbersome version of the same.

OK, so maybe the makeshift knife should need a sharpening tool (rocks generally suffice, ATM). Would imagine that butchering requires enough precision that I wouldn’t want to do it with a 2-foot handle on a 6-inch blade, sharp blade or no.

So I’m thinking WAI–not a bug.

Personally, it has always bugged me that the knife spear can’t be crafted by attaching a knife to a stick.

Perhaps there can be two (or more?) versions which can be crafted by attaching a butchers/pocket/trench/combat knife to a stick.
