Oh I, I, I’m still alive.

I honestly found that listening to Silent Hill(1)'s music during a lab raid makes it more of a hellish experience.

“Axel F” theme is the real deal to go with this game, at least for my part.
The call if neofolk. Does the job.
Right now I’m listening to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NTDllcRxw0

I haven’t seen this thread in a while.
I primarily listen to forest background noises.

Sometimes I just open my window, that way I get a cold breeze and the sound of the city below me.
Usually I prefer crazy upbeat stuff, trance, metal, rock, smashcore, Akibapop, Hands up, Happy hardcore-- stuff like that but I recently stumbled across Atrium Carceri.
Seriously, pretty sure they capture the apocalyptic ‘last man alive’ ambiance perfectly.
Not quite sure it matches cata-- again my cata runs tend to be quite fast-paced, hectic affairs interspersed by long periods of craft/rest/welding.

Somehow the tone personifies great sadness with hope breaking through, especially with how it gets much more upbeat in the second half. Not normally to much into stuff, with this slowish of a tempo but they pulled it off exceedingly well.
Also mentions the whole world…suddenly gone gone. serveral times ^.^
No mention of Firelake yet?
I also find some tracks by Eduard Artemyev to be suitable.

Totally captures the general apocalyptic, last-man alive feel.
This is pretty uplifting. Are you sure it captures the negative feelings linked to the cataclysm?
Or are you suggesting that the cataclysm is something to be celebrated?
apocalyptic level sarcasm? Is that you?
Radium Valley: Song of Rain, or Radium Valley.
One of my favorite soundtracks, ili lolol
It reminds me of the cataclysmic and dark world of CDDA.
…Yet at the same time the relative peace one could get, pushing forward through the dark days ahead.
