Not sure if this has already been fixed in a version of .9, and this only really effects early game character, but you can’t make clean water using 1 bottle of water and a pot, because “you don’t have anything to put the clean water into”. Except you do, because your bottle would be empty after you dumped it into the pot, and your character should, in theory, be able to pour it into the same bottle after it’s been boiled.
I’m pretty sure that functionally you’re not boiling all 500ml at once but rather 250, then another 250, in the mean time you can’t put the clean water in the bottle with “water”
This right here, one of the main improvements we’ve been looking at with the crafting system is allowing for multiple results to be output at the same time, possibly saving time in some cases (such as boiling) and certainly saving keypresses.

Would this allow you to have concentrated acid from rain recipe also output the boiled off water, if you had, say, attachment/mod for a hotplate or chemistry set or still that acted to collect and condense the water vapor?
Mmm, I suppose this isn’t a bug then, but maybe this could be moved to the suggestions thread. Like, you say you can’t boil all 500 ml at once, and I’d want to ask you “using what?” I imagine a frying pan has less of a capacity than a pot, and though it’s not represented in the game, different pots could hold different amounts of liquid.
