.22 LR gives SR primers when pulled

So, I pulled some .22 LR ammo to obtain lead, gunpowder and casings, when I noticed they give Small rifle primers when pulled. This is problematic, since I find it annoying to just drop them and leave them like they never existed. Honestly, we should JSONize bullet pulling to disassembly recipes.

… What?

.22 doesn’t use primers? If they do why remove them? Are they not rifle primers but pistol primers? How would JSONizing the recipes stop this problem?

.22s are rimfire cartridges, the cartridge (brass bit the bullet/powder is in) is also the primer, they dont have removable primers like center fire guns

Meh, acceptable breaks from reality I say.

Lolnope

Lolyeah

Just like every electronic runs on standard batteries instead of AA, AAA, D, N, C, Ninevolt whatever else. Or like the fact that Nailguns can shoot every type of nail instead of just specific lengths. Really, I dont think anyone is really bothered by that.

Incorrect.

This.

If the fact that disassembling a rimfire cartridge produces ‘small rifle primers’ bothers you that much, then learn to deal with it or stop disassembling them.

Or turn off the computer for a few moments and take the time to repeat to yourself: ‘Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead is not Call of Duty.’

Remember, this is the game where you can build a homemade laser gun out of old flashlights.

Id put it on about the same realism level.

Well, what I meant by that was our primary goal isn’t to pander specifically to folks who are so into firearms that they treat them with quasi-religious veneration. Guns are in the game because it makes sense, it’s a zombie movie trope, and it’s fun. They don’t have to be super difficult, though, and making something as puny as a .22LR non-reloadable would be realism trumping fun and add nothing to the game while making an already piddly calibre even more lame.
