now i’m actually starting to wonder if the sheltered scenario is the reason that building used to spawn so much with my cyborg preset, playing as a mutant i haven’t encountered any yet over at least 5+ lives.

Construction has resumed. First the library, then clothing storage. Maybe the barracks will be after that. That one will have at least two basement levels, so it’s gonna be a ton of work.

Been thinking about how weapons, ammo, and armor should be organized. Several posts ago, had generally arranged things so multiple ammo/weapons/armor were set up in different piles. It felt untidy, basically, and after considering things I decided to simplify things a little bit, similar to how I decided clothing would be sorted.

The ones on display will basically be just chosen weapons. Basically the ones that are most effective, more or less. Like the H&K MP5 will probably be “on display” while most of the other SMGs will be in a back room in a less organized fashion. Nothing too cluttered, but less overly and needlessly elaborate.

To clear out the town I’m living near, I need to get stronger.
To get stronger, I want to get mutagens/cybernetics.
To get those, I need to raid the rest of the Lab nearby.
To continue raiding to lab, I need to build a Control Laptop because the turrets are annoying.
To build a Control Laptop, I only need a HackPRO USB.
To find that, I trained my Mechanics to fix a light Atomic Tank I found.
To find an Electronics Store, being the only place I know they spawn, I travelled far and wide.

After a long arduous journey, I found the destined Electronics Store with the HackPRO inside, I saw the light at the end of the tunnel.

Game crashed, lost it all.

Screw my life, I feel like flipping not only the computer and the table, but the whole damn house.

Does anyone know the best way to find those darn HackPro USB or am I destined to forever wander Electronic Store to Electronic Store hoping and praying one appears?

No idea why it’s there, but there is indeed a chance for a USB drive with HackPro in the trunk inside the sweeper. Not kidding.

There’s also a chance for them to spawn in spider basements.

No were not pulling your tail (if you have one now) in fact other than sometimes in random houses or zeds street cleaners were the ONLY polace I found hackpro. I presume either someone was making a dead drop or trying to get rid of evidence.

Upon hearing your advice, I drove straight to the nearest Hazardous Waste Sarcophagus, to kill the inhabiting “Cleaner Bots” that I thought you were both referencing.

They blew up in my face, which I survived, but I felt like crying due to both the damage and them leaving nothing behind.

Then as I was driving away in despair, I came across an Automatic Street Sweeper in the middle of the road, with the jackpot, a HackPRO.

I love you guys, you’ve saved me from hours of driving from town to town raiding Electronic Stores.

I have seen them in labs as well, the hackPro USB, but the street sweeper is a much safer bet. I actually forgot I found one in one of those last run, but still haven’t put together and used the control laptop in any run yet. I’ll get there eventually, I’ve started a new run, have a couple NPC pals to share stories with and teach each other stuff after dinner. Have been mostly trying to level tailoring and mechanics, while one buddy teaches me what he knows about computers on the EVAC shelter PC. We’re trying to slowly clear and loot and have moved from the EVAC into a small one stop sign town on the outskirts of a larger city. We have a scooter we pulled inside to be able to work on for parts or maybe fix up. We found a police car on one of our excursions as well, barely made it back but was able to fill it with a little gas from the ambulance that has a full battery but gas tank on the ground from Zs smashing it up. The police car also is in bad shape and barely starts. I think with all 3 vehicles and mechanics now at 4, we have a project to work towards, so that we can work towards that project of controlling the world!.. or at least parts of it XD.

It fumbled around the evac shelter while I tried to play sillybuggers around him.

It tore at my clothing.

But the last game, I ran into a bear I had avoided in the broad daylight. Just … opps, theres still a bear here, pissed off about all the zeds. He nommed me before I could pull out my single shot shotgun.

Started a new game. Seemed like every road i went down ended in a sugar house and thats just no fun I figured its because I created the world while they still had high a spawn rate. I amped up the difficulty to 3X spawn rate. But because of the nerf to item spawn rate I put it up higher. I wish I had hard stats on how that affected the game besides just the vague “more” items

Started as a Lumberjack away from town. Already have two companions to order around. I headed north as it looked like a good direction go since nothing was in site and found a three building town. Perfect for a base. I am going to settle down quickly.

Decided to finally check out the national guard camps see what that is all about, haven’t been really able to do so more due to a lot of mods I like making it so the world generator goes “this is too much shit” (I’m looking at your mod pisskop it’s great which is what really saddened me to realize I can’t use it with all the other mods I like to play with). Anyways debugged me a bunch of survivor items and hit the reveal map button when suddenly I went JESUS FUCKING CHRIST i though people said that it was a NATIONAL GAURD “CAMP” which looks a lot more like what the military outposts should have looked like I mean this is a proper base not a dinky camp.

Haven’t used the transfer tool in a while. Hope it still works. Good luck though, I’d hate for the Marloss Man saga to end due to technical difficulties of all things.

I have the tool, I’m just not sure if that still works. I’ve been doing it manually. I haven’t had much luck. Has the transfer tool been updated lately? Also, have there been any changes in how character data is formatted?
