What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

Wow thats a pretty decent number of labs in one area… and not a lot of anything else.

Decided to start a new world. And decided to do something different, Eternal Winter, Wander Spawns (0. and no buildings!
I cleverly named it Frozen Forest!

Got the recent build and decided to play around a bit with it, and decided that I wanted to debug me some holsters.

Turns out they removed the shoulder holsters and put a few points of encumbrance to the holsters that were left.

at least json is easy to edit but i realy liked shoulder holsters

Well. Uh. Zombie necromancer corpses should have a tag that makes it impossible for other zombie necromancers to revive them. I had to debug my way out of a bad time because of that.

And you should be able to shoot it or acid it.

but I would appreciate a tag that renders coprses as unrevivable or removes said tokenflag

I don’t have any ranged weapons yet, and these guys came out of the type of park that’s actually a gate to Hell and spawns almost (but not quite) coffee-shop levels of zombies.

I tried implementing that once in a PR. Kevin vetoed it.

I just saw him mention bugs using venom to make a corpse unrezzable

Necromancer reviving necromancers is fun. I recommend a backup plan or several in case something goes wrong.

Built a death fortress with one of the most OP characters the RNG gods have ever given me and lost 4 days of that goodness by a crash (thanks fungaloids and NPCs).
I’m going to start setting it up to autosave ever half day. Fuck losing a lot of progress every time I crash.
My dude looked like and had skills like the miner murderer guy from Valentine Day Massacre or whatever that movie was called, got spawn in a nice small town because there were no mines (generated the mining start) and used a gym as my FOB, free water from the fungaloids next door. Hostile NPCs would show up but I’d just walk up to them and beat them to death with my handy dandy shovel. It was GOAT.

Haven’t been playing for a bit, but I dreamt about playing with a character with hooves and the scorpion venom style.

Kinda want to try that now.

Back to playing.

Spring, day 13. My alter ego ventured back into the northern town at night. The outliers are all but invaded by woodlife and I tried to go by the cathedral, but got discouraged by A LOT of explosions (I think I heard four in a row, then another two).

I backtracked and I’m now taking the long road around I already mapped.

It was the night after Christmas and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, just some Zeds and a lout
With his mocossin boots and matchbook and stout
He dove through the windows, his spear aimed to joust

Passing by beds and tables and shelves
This drunkards aim was more of the same
’For booze, steel pipes and lighter flame!'
He exclaimed to himself as he passed by the street where the supply depot dwells

With a cautious glance and eyes to the doors
He groped in the cold, the wind and the snow
Although he was fast, his hunters were slow
They cut and they gnashed, they hid in the stores

Walking alone, our survivor did pass
Its chair gleaming like a beacon a firetruck
Putting his fears behind him he said 'what the fuck’
Tightened his belt and ran with quick-ass

Little known to him, that poor drunk mark
A hulking beast stood guard
With a mighty slam and the song of this bard
A death among billions, another false start

That was truly beautiful…

If yo are going fast enough (400+ mph), your car is lightweight, and hit a wall head on, your car will completely vaporize under your feet and you’ll be left standing where the controls were installed, no worse for wear.

Best glitch I’ve found for sure.

RIP electric sports car.

Spent 2 days around my modest-sized starter town. It has a hardware store, electronics store, a mil. surplus store, 2 gunstores (sidebyside), a garage, 3 teashops, explanisve suburbs, and apparently swamps to the east.

Ive run out of booze, spending the last of it on crafting a makeshift kevlar vest.
PROTIP: Fire outfits have yield too much kevlar when cut.

So now the first of the tremors have come, and Im about to enter a lab with a m akeshift crowbar as my best weapon because the only skill I have is combat and tailoring. But, tbh, its worth it to have better armor than a weapon for the type of raiding Im going to be doing. Im debating what to do if I come across some ethanol. My survivor is a drunkard, but the sooner and safer I am when I rip this bandaid off the better. Its lost days, but not as big a deal since I have double seasons on. Ive been comtemplating changing that to default 14, but meh. Since I play with higher spawn rates and longer seasons, it should even out.

So, into the labs with a crowbar and a flashlight and a makeshift vest. Most of the stores in town were bullguarded by higher end hordes, with one street so think with zombies I had to hit them or turn back. I tell you, there was a conspiracy to keep me on the west side of town.

Reminds me of the times I’ve tried to break the speed record. (best:1600mph) Most of the time my attempts end when I hit an animal at twice the speed of sound, reducing every part on my car to zero. Then I hit another animal and my car disintegrates. Lots of fun.

I just found enough supplies at a LMOE shelter to not only flesh out what my character was missing (hammer, wrench, wood axe, wood saw, gun, ammo for gun, magizine, skillbook, enough food for 2 weeks), but even had I had nothing, it had everything but a tailoring kit in it.

I disapprove of this :[
Also vending machines boarder on OP too. Especially the drink ones. Even the food ones have jerky, as well as enough food to keep you happy and bookwormed for days.
