What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

I beat a zombie to death with a vibrator as my first kill.

It was my only weapon.

Must of got a good buzz from that kill… hue hue hue

Finally getting around to searching for a home now that summer is here. I have scoped out the countryside. From weird X-shaped tree growths to disasterous Turrets, Ive had a few close calls that have made this character more memorable.

Ive locked more than 1 secubot in a CBM room. Despite my failures, I have 450 power max. I managed to butcher a bio-op for his mkII power on level 1 survival. Score. I also have joint rachet and ethonal. And metabolism, but mutations have limited that.

On mutations, I have the full IR eyes, terrifying, light eater, carnivore, and I had weakening until it got replaced by presumably fast healer. Im still pretty, with my bad knees and insomnia. I have poor hearing and am a slow learner but a fast reader.

I have a few more books, which I like to listen to with the radio on, and my Luci is feeling fairly invincible with its 5 acetylene torches. It has 3 turrets on it that Im saving for real funtimes. Sometimes I think I reserve them for too much. Ive killed more giant worms than I know what to do with, and finally have guns to use. Mostly pistols and the pneunomic rifle, but they suffice. I cant make much in the way of electronics, but I did get my hands on a water purifier and Ive been reading up on my cooking to accomedate my meat-only diet.

So far:

Ive walked into a field with a grenadier in it. It C4ed my face and teargased me, but I do have a filter mask on and I was able to run to my Luci.

Ive gotten critted on my torso for 75 damage by a stray turret shot. Through my leather armor and kevlar vest.

Ive gone into a hospital to get boomered on about 20 times and spit on at least half that much.

Ive fought off a minor horde of 35-40 Zs with an awl pike I found in a mansion. Aww man, Im not saying its perfect, but Im really digging its 3 tile reach. Too slow, but can 1shot a Z with its 90 damage crits. Thats getting into shotgun territory.

I found a few rounds for my shotguns, but have been relying upon my usp for now. I really need a tankbuster weapon. Dont have.

And finally Ive got a modest kill count of 510 right now. Only 169 regular Zmen.

And, a perfectly healthy sleeping npc just died… I even save scummed a couple times to see if i could do anything… no wounds or anything. Just dies.

Debug their statues window and see if they have an infection.

How? And ill be happy to do it.

Open the debug menu and look on for the npc options, when you choose the option, choose the npc and it will ask you to choose an option, choose the status window option.

Ahha, he has an infected arm, guess that should really be shown when looking at his wounds, or he should say something about it… Thanks.

Let the rush for antibiotics begin!

nah im on week 3, i have loads of first aid disinfectant and antibiotics. Just patched him up with some first aid i carry with me always and waited for 20 minutes and hes fine…

Corrosives have been next to impossible in melee lately. Need to figure out what the best leg protection to get, as the acid they spill on death deals massive damage to both legs.

After patching up my buddies arm we headed back into the edge of town to raid for food, we found better! A basement full of giant spiders, how is that better than food? IT IS FOOD! The three of us rampaged thru the swarm slaughtering them left and right. After the deed was done we had killed around 50 of them. Butchering them, then hauling them home, and then dehydrating the horde took the better part of 3 days, but this is a great start for supplies for the winter! 50 bits of dehydrated meat sits in our compound, for now we will eat the boiled offal, its not good looking and its not tasty but it fills the stomach and fuels our bodies in this harsh world. I just wish i could of salvaged some of the carapace for use as armor but i think it will take some more practice before i can do that. Now lets hope the antibiotics cure the poison my comrades got from the bites i think ill take the time while they heal to work on the perimiter defense or maybe get a small garden going, all i have is wild veges and some pot seeds but its better than nothing. I could really use a joint right now.

Lately my main tactic on spider basements is to torch the basement, get the hell out of the house, and wait at a safe distance until the fire goes away. Then sneak back down and collect whatever’s left. Spider egg sacs don’t seem to burn to ash, and more importantly possible gun safes are undamaged.

Also, tried the heavy rail rifle without mounting it to a vehicle. Damage is more or less the same, and recoil is no matter thanks to some mods. On the other hand, the shots fired on foot doesn’t have the explosion/flying shrapnel combo, and so it doesn’t seem to gib enemies as well as having it mounted on a vehicle as the hypervelocity driver.

So, basically, on the next far trip I make away from the base, I’ll store in the parts for a modified lil’ Gunner on the Sluggernaut so I can construct a driveable vehicle that I can use to take on hordes.

But all the sweet sweet spider flesh!

I couldn’t eat those stomachs fast enough, a good portion went bad. I wish there was more uses for them maybe minced meat pies or something. After my little rest i took HogWild out to explore some of the country roads, found a few evac shelters and another hamlet crawling with zombies and then a farm. It was getting late so i headed back before actually making it to the farm. The way back had a relatively straight and long road so i decided to test out the speed of Hogwild, got it up to 70 easy an then a zombear and zombie cougar appeared, i swerved to avoid them but instead slid the middle of the bike right into the zombear, it exploded, it was fantastic except for the gore I and my bike are now covered in. The zombear absorbed alot of the impact so the zombie cougar just kinda bounced off as i straightened up and zoomed away. Gunna head back to check out the farm later as it is i have a load of canned goods to supplement my supplies and a shiny new pair of binoculars.

It looks like Haggis lasts a good long time. Could use the stomachs in that. Also looks like they can be used to make cheese.

Spider corpses won’t turn to ash, the fire doesn’t last long enough for that.

Yea i haven’t found the Scottish cook book yet, so that’s a no go. Curdled milk in stomachs but it doesn’t actually make the stomach into food its for making cheese. Also something i haven’t found the recipe for.

In other news i just drove this sweet piece of booty home

6l V6 diesel
m2 browning
120 mm cannon

Now what to do with it. Strip it down for parts and build a RV of dooooom or work with in the vehicle to make it into a mini tank of doooooom. Either way much doooooooom involved.

Crafting time! Got a ton of human bones lying around, so I’m gonna fill a standing tank of human broth. Sap soup would be next. Will use normal broth for that, as normal broth requires less time to craft, and I got a decent amount of human flesh to cook.

Will probably make standing tanks for certain non-alcoholic beverages, as raiding vending machines have given me a massive supply.

The 120mm RWS is a pretty great cannon. It functions as a Turret by default, so you would do well to collect as many of these as possible to make a future Land Fortress.
