…No clue how I’d break into a lab armory. …Damn it.
I need so much stuff.
An acetylene torch is your friend. o3o
If only. Lack of equipment is the issue here. Cities and their garages are God knows where. It’s just endless forest and roads as far as eye can see… Nah, I did find a tourist map. There are cities a good distance away. Too far. The game sure makes me work for everything I get…
I’m currently trolling military outpost turrets with a mounted M2. I drive 21-25 squares away, just outside their range, and start taking shots at them, mostly missing, like maybe 5-10% of the rounds hit.
Before that I was switching vehicles, from the Sports Car to an Armored Car. There’s a mi-go in the distance in the woods but I ignore it. It lingers there for several hours… until it tries to attack me while I was removing and installing car parts! This is midday, maybe. I barely get my 416 out and give it a good burst 5 tiles away. It goes ‘severely wounded’ and starts fleeing. I try to run after and give it another burst but it runs too fast. One doesn’t simply kill mi-gos with 1 in ‘rifles’ and 2 in ‘marksmanship’. Mind you this with ‘tough zombies’ enabled. Anyway, the mi-go flees, screaming things like “You’ll pay for that!” and “Please spare me!” and I’m laughing and thinking “Good. It’s not coming back now.”
I continue swapping car parts and the night falls. Then I suddenly get the prompt “Heard crash, stop doing what you’re doing?”. Lumps and chunks of steel appear where they shouldn’t.
“It did just f**king not…”
Oh yes it did, it came back for more, still severely wounded. It didn’t attack me so much as the new car, thrashing the doors and whatnot, staying on the door tile being like “Such a nice car! Would be a shame if anything happened to it [WHAM WHAM WHAM CRASH WHAM]” Bastard. It lingered in the distance earlier the entire day, making a racket in the woods, interrupting my repairs. What a troll. I was on the edge the entire time if I should go kill it, but decided not to. Goddamnit. Then the night fell and that’s when it made its move. Since I was deeper in the car, I didn’t want to burst-fire my 416 in the fear I’d hit the car. So I advanced closer. When I stepped next to it, that’s when it hit me. Twice. Nearly destroyed my arm. I had forgotten I had nothing but elbow pads on my arms.
Eat hot lead, mi-go.
It finally collapses. I drag its body out under the car and pulp it. I pretty much wanted to cut its head off and put it on the car as a hood ornament. So much justice in that kill.
