What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

In how my survivor almost died today, was still searching through the non-ice lab. Open the door, smoker zombie. I wait until melee range, then I find out there’s a hulk lurking within the smoke. Get smashed against the reinforced glass. Bad damage to most parts, thanks to choosing frail at the start. Left arm is at /.

With the pain my survivor was in, trying to run would be suicide. Using cloak bionic has a small chance of the hulk getting lucky and hitting me while moving around. The smash was done right next to the glass, so the hulk is still beside my survivor.

Of course, tazer saves the day. Just to be sure the hulk doesn’t recover, I use the tazer 15 more times to kill the bastard.

I bandage up the parts, and continue my lab looting.

The new lighting/darkness thing in tileset mode makes it a helluva lot easier. With nothing but night vision, everything in the sight radius is black and white, while the rooms with the turrets are a lot more lit up looking in comparison. No risk of accidentally opening a turret door.

Raiding a FEMA camp. Didn’t realize there was supposed to be a zombie brute in the science building.

I think the best course of action would be to pick up the c4 and throw it.

Holy crap, I didn’t know you could find stethoscopes in ambulances.

I think that was added in a couple months ago, mostly because stethoscopes are annoyingly rare.

Yeah, it’s definitely a fairly new thing in experimental. Very VERY nice. You can also get them in the concrete building in FEMA camps!

a minireactor, a teleporter, a portal generator… that’s the rare stuff you need. Some other odds and ends, some skills (don’t remember the requirement).

I think it’s part of Blaze’s vehicle mod.

first house i actually managed to get into i find this

I lit a house on fire to try to get the rather large group of zombies following me off of my tail, and about 4 steps after the house started getting nice and toasty it EXPLODED. Like I’m still deaf from it and my clothing is not very happy with me. Never had that happen before.

I bet one of the zombies dropped some ammo or explosives.

I think the only place they have any chance to spawn normally is spider basements. They don’t actually spawn in the teleport rooms in labs like they used to. Personally I got fed up and just fixed the item lists myself in the jsons to put them back in labs and such.

I’ve thought of making a character that mimics me in person. Realized I would be way too OP in the beginning since I practice a billion forms of martial arts. (Kumdo, freestyle wrestling, muay thai, taekwondo, etc.)
And other assorted nick-nacks like first aid and survival.

I considered doing this for all of 5 minutes before realising that I’d last about 5 minutes because I’m unfit and live in a country with no firearms available to the public.
