In how my survivor almost died today, was still searching through the non-ice lab. Open the door, smoker zombie. I wait until melee range, then I find out there’s a hulk lurking within the smoke. Get smashed against the reinforced glass. Bad damage to most parts, thanks to choosing frail at the start. Left arm is at /.
With the pain my survivor was in, trying to run would be suicide. Using cloak bionic has a small chance of the hulk getting lucky and hitting me while moving around. The smash was done right next to the glass, so the hulk is still beside my survivor.
Of course, tazer saves the day. Just to be sure the hulk doesn’t recover, I use the tazer 15 more times to kill the bastard.
I bandage up the parts, and continue my lab looting.
The new lighting/darkness thing in tileset mode makes it a helluva lot easier. With nothing but night vision, everything in the sight radius is black and white, while the rooms with the turrets are a lot more lit up looking in comparison. No risk of accidentally opening a turret door.
