I’m currently bunkered down in a LMOE shelter but the lack of light is annoying underground. Still, can’t argue with the infinite amount of water so I’ll deal with it.
I also decided to build a wooden building to house my forge, still, etc. which also has a water well outside. I mostly use it for crafting weapons and metal objects. And since I can’t drag cart’s downstairs I can instead forge in the building without having to tediously carry metal up and down stairs.
Since I was getting bored of the ‘‘Deathmobile’’ playstyle, I decided that my current survivor would have a permanent base and basically forbid myself from making a rolling fortress of doom. I fortified and pimped out a Public Works with all the possible amenities. Complete solar rig with all the crafting stations, solar floodlights around the base, storage areas and a future farming area. Plus it’s really close to the necropolis when I feel like doing that.
I’m playing on 92 day seasons and autumn started. I’m preparing for the first winter but I’m not really scared. I’m sitting on 15k units of powdered eggs, 800 units of dehydrated meat, multiple water tank rigs filled to the brim and 2 full barrels of single malt whiskey. Bring it on winter.
I’m limiting my vehicles to my raidbike. 4 tiles long, 1 wide. 2 cargo spaces and diesel + gasoline engines. I’m exploring farther and farther out from my base, sometime gone for a week but I always come back to my comfortable abode. Just recently went to a lab with a CVD machine to make a diamond broadsword. I decided to forbid myself from using a diamond katana and niten ichi-ryu because it’s crazy overpowered.
Damn that’s cool. Seems like a really lucky mapgen, I only usually get tiles and tiles of forests and maybe a few interesting nick-nacks dotted around. Also, for the diamond wakizashi that I currently owned almost killed me to make since it was on the bottom of an ice lab.
How many days have you lived?
