So I was walking to a Mansion to hopefully find a katana since I traveled through a lab and found a CVD machine.
it was just then I found a group of dead doperunners near the road to the mansion, I was thinking of just passing them by but I decided to loot them for a pistol or something.
Boy, I got more than what I asked for - On one of the druggies, there was a wakizashi
A freakin’ WAKIZASHI
I picked that baby up and replaced my machete. Looted the mansion and found a ton of gold, diamonds, a petrified eye, a pair of thunder gauntlets and a fusion blaster CBM.
I can’t wait to make one of those fusion blaster rifles connected to my bionic UPS power with a diamond wakizashi once I find a welder and make charcoal.
I love this game and it’s unpredictability. Praise the RNG god.
I just finished making my diamond wakizashi, also tested out the fusion blaster rifle - why haven’t I tried using this beast of a weapon before? It made quick work of a mob of zed specials and masters.
So went into debug settings and cranked up the limits to basically be non. (50±perks and starting points) then added whatever I felt like, skies the limit, but tried to keep it vaguely “me” here is how day 1 went.

Before even moving, (C)hat to NPC: Burt Dunn
Wants relic, gives military rucksack….wait what O.o Sweet! Won’t come adventuring
curious about NPC that gives rucksack for agreeing to quest.
Burt has:
Wielding: simple flamethrower; …<.< Oh shit.
wearing cargo pants, boots(fits), utility vest(hits), safety glasses, cowboy hat, ANOTHER military rucksack. Oh… and a dress shirt.
Now I really want to know more, check trade.
army helmet(fits), .22 LR, utility vest, fur boots(fits), reloaded 9x19 JMP, .45 ACP JHP, wrist watch, spray can flamethrower, gas mask, bandana
shit he has a backup flamethrower too…he’s gan a burn EVERYTHING. Maybe I should just kill him when I……um no. military hardass with flamethrower…right.
still I got do this kind of start more often.
look at map. I am in an evac shelter. LMOE shelter in NE corner, Fema Camp SE, river running through top-bottom, with town in SW corner. River being THAT close might be problem…and no bridge oh well.
Oh. And fungal flowers of right edge.
take first step
get ALL the things from evac shelter. Not much.
do 360 of shelter to check for dangers, nothing
run North by North East to LMOE shelter
OH SHIT MOOSE RIGHT THERE THAT I DIDN’T SEE
ignoring… ok… oh that’s right, animal empathy…. Well that’s nice, guess I can go right by it….
moose tracking NONNOONONOONONONNONONOONO
run away, moose still tracking, but at a distance.
leaves me be. Animal Empathy a must.
scientist graveyard, 3 ID cards + clothes, butcher everything I don’t want
get to LMOE shelter. Triffid says he owns it. Throw rocks & sticks.
ineffective. 2nd Triffid comes. More throwing and running.
Triffid queen checks in, kills self with tree growth.
lvl 3 throwing, still nothing. Start meleeing, works better, but not a good enough damage ratio.
use terrain, thanks to parkour, actually works. Still to slow especially with 2 triffid. Get them stuck on corners w/ trees. Better for throwing but still no good for damage.
Get triffid stuck on backside, run inside, get all the things.
undefined AK74, flintlock carbine, AR-15, and ammo, bayonet book, advanced UPS
kill stuck triffids with flintlock, point blank, 2 shots each, no hurry.
go back home full.
moose decides he doesn’t like me passing through twice. ALL THE SPRINT.
Moose catches up, said hi. 1 flintlock to the face, moose doesn’t have enough nope for the 103 damage. Too late. 2nd shot for moose steak. Bullwinkle learns peace.
Home. Craft hammer, lots of sewing, and making clothes.
get another inv. full of science graveyard, keep going north….where moose corpse go???
NPC scared of me, only has nail bat.
NPC fail, drops bat, debug auto on.
shoot NPC for not trusting me, chase for a little while, turn back look for moose corpse
still not found, bash all the bushes that might a hide moose.
found. Was further south than I thought after chase. Take as much home as possible.
Dump supplies. Eat more triffid, go back for rest of moose. Hunter NPC there instead….Where MOOSE!
recheck NPC trade several times. No moose bits. Remember JUST set note last time found corpse. Its untouched.
think about killing NPC anyways for being in vicinity of my moose corpse. Suddenly wonder if I left door open, on same side NPC approached from.
grab everything run back. Doors closed (whew) Rethink about killing hunter NPC since he only has nailboard
think further about keeping NPC from starving to death hunting with nailboard. Mercy killing mode initiated……oh. He’s to far away now
notice big strawberry patch 1 knight’s move away from Evacuation
make fire and cook stuff. Go for more wood.
realize forest is NOT close to evac….too late
another moose attacks while I scavenge forest for sticks. Switch to flintlock, 90 damage, Moose says you can have it. Too late Bullwinkle
dump supplies and cook at base.
eat again.
Pre-read Bayonets & First responders. Read till lvl 1 piercing and tired.
use nailboard, smash stuff and get pipe for makeshift crowbar.
re-chat NPC for more stuff. Bandana, still not follower.
realize/remember that Evac shelters don’t have beds.
Eat moose/last of triffid. drink only bottle of water.
make makeshift crowbar and sling via computer light. 3 stacks of pebble for ammo
dump all unwanted supplies run north to LMOE shelter
as approach LMOE hear crunches to northeast, then east. More triffids surely, make it by without trouble. Hopefully not nocking on door in morning.
Open all the crates, find disappointment.
go to bed. Something is making noise upstairs. No sleep.
investigate. noise never comes closer. Decide not to get speared by tree like triffid queen.
Time to sleep on floor in Evac, Run all the way back again.
XD
“average” is 8, what do you consider yourself a 20 at? Besides its less “roleplaying myself” and more Creating a badass starter character that vaguely resembles me in stat build.
Huh. Started out, evac shelter in the middle of nowhere. Seems like a good spot.
Then the NPC all of a sudden opens fire on the wall with a flamethrower.
Yeah in the my apoc I just posted first thing I did was look at the NPC and then go OH SHIT he has ALL THE FLAMETHROWERS. Hasn’t been a problem yet, but just to be safe hes not allowed back in the evac, now that he is a follower.
XD

Not at 20 but way over 20. And ofc EVERY SINGLE STAT.
Ah, I see. I recall toying around with a profession to mimic my normal clothes and EDC stuff, though rarely bothered with matching the traits and skills.
Luck’s my side. After a few failed runs, I start at an evac shelter next to town. I managed to run the heck away from the zombies and try to avoid the hordes moving in. First day uneventful. Night falls and I’m still wandering. I’m digging the new darkness thing. Anyways, I walk into a motel. Luckily, there was a car with the lights on attracting the Zs, so I sneak into the motel’s lobby. I grab the tourist guide and some backpacks.
One of the vending machines is smashed open, and praise all that is neat, it’s a full vending machine of drinks - plus several cans of V8. I grab everything I can, and cash card the other vending machine and grab all the pork sticks I can carry before high tailing it out of there.
Still, it’s midnight and my survivor is getting tired. No shelter anywhere, so I wander around the woods for a bit. For a brief second the flashlight is lit up to check the tourist map. I look around the roads, and I notice that there’s a refugee center some distance away. I used the terminal on the evac shelter when I started, but couldn’t find the refugee center then.
So I make my trek there. Morning comes, I encounter a group of Z scientists and some migos. I got a sling, but for most part I’m using centipede style. Once I finish up the fight, I notice two things. Thanks to the light of day, I find a LMOE shelter - perfect timing since the survivor hasn’t slept yet. Then among the human corpses among the zombie scientists I find an RDX charge.
To top it all off, I find crates in the forest toward the LMOE shelter.
Nice. I really should toy with martial art styles besides just krav maga, silat, fencing, and occasionally medieval swordsmanship when I remember to yoink the dropbox’d version of medieval mod. Which I might need to update. >.<
