Wilderness start, lumberjack profession. Started near an anthill and an LMOE. Static NPC started shooting at ants and I ran away while they devoured him.
LMOE contained a fire axe; jackpot. I head toward the nearest road; it’s a mall. I skirt the edges, take the road north. I have to move carefully to avoid hostile wildlife I see in the distance, like a Moose and a Cougar. The road is long, I find a gas station with a couple of road maps; jackpot.
The road maps show a town further down the line, or a closer town near the mall. I backtrack to the town near the mall. I start slowly clearing houses and killing solo zeds with my axe that I lead into bushes. Eventually I find a nice basement in a house that contains a bar and set up a bed on the sofa.
Now I’m exploring the town and clearing out zeds, getting better and better with the axe. I got a few deep bites but found first aid kits to prevent infection. I found a tailoring kit to reinforce clothes with leather and Kevlar and I found some combat boots and a trenchcoat. I found an atomic lamp and a mess kit so I can easily read and cook in my basement, and I am starting to collect some books too. Eventually I will build a wood stove.
I found a fungal bloom outside town and burned it to the ground.
It’s day 4 and things are looking up. Eventually I may clear the mall but I am being cautious and trying my best to survive.
