I’m deaf seemingly forever too. I don’t even know what could have caused it besides getting shot by a milspec turret once. God this is super annoying. I wish it was like it used to be.

Building collapses can cause severe noise. The louder the noise the longer the deafness lasts. It’s not going to last forever, just a “long time”, meaning days. Obviously it feels like forever. Wear hearing protection, use suppressors. If you get desperate, cheat yourself the CBM that eliminates loud noises, Enhanced Hearing CBM. Do tell if you go like a full year in deafness.
Personally, I find myself wearing earplugs basically ALL the time once I find them. I take them off to check a few things, then put them back on… and that’s on a melee character who doesn’t use a gun.
Hearing can be nice, when you want to check something, but most of the time, I just find it annoying. Seriously, I get that the vehicle I’m driving is humming, OK?
Exactly. Be lucky that we don’t have permanent deafness like in reality.
as it stands it’d be hilarious if that was a trait, like an upgrade to Poor Hearing.
I hate the increasing skill requirements for additional engines. I’d like to plug some of the vortex generators from the vehicle pack mod into my deathmobile, but that’s never going to happen since they count as engines.
Weird. Why the hell aren’t they statted the same as minireactors?

Aluminum kegs show up in the weirdest places. Dropped by zombies. Found in lockers. Yeah, they’re fun in this game.
I have wondered that exact thing. They should definitely go in that slot (the battery slot), not the engine slot.

Spent a quiet few weeks playing ADOM. Weeeelll… honestly that refugee center bug after all the work I put up making my ice lab base bothered me more than it should.
In any case, now I’m ready to spread the word of organized bases once more.
Time to clutter up my base to bring balance to the world.

Best start i have had in a while… .made a priest guy with 14 int and 8 in all other statistics… and immediatly found two zombies in the evac basement… though it was packed with a hotplate hexamine stove, lots of canned food and water, a tailors kit, rollmat and then a fletchers friend book, i dont think the game wants me to leave the shelter, there be wolves out there.

I’m getting to this point too. I’m deaf all the time anyway, may as well spare myself constantly wondering why.
