Found an old version of the game. Title screen didn’t have the dark days ahead added in, and it’s dated at around January 2013, so it’s kinda old.
Man, after experiencing the current versions, this one is just hard to navigate.

Yeah, quickstrike + parry + piercing damage, basically make spear weapon line one of the best for melee combat
The only thing better for early game is cudgel for the precise strike
On my side, this is the last time I am going to turn on hordes in my world. Waking up to the sound of a zombie horde basically ransacking my (in game) week effort of building an organized base. NEVER. AGAIN
Now if I only had a decent weapon or explosives to finish off those bandits with. Forked spear just isn’t enough.
After messing around with the NX-17 charge rifle I’ve come to the conclusion that it is decidedly unimpressive. Deals roughly thirty damage on full charge with a direct hit and the explosion is only good for causing alotta noise along with deafening yourself. It has a nice secondary effect of causing several small fires though, great for ruining enemy nightvision and burning away fungal terrain.
I’ve got a couple LACP laser pistols back at base, once I finish my current looting run I’m gonna trick one of them out to use as an unlimited ammo sidearm and for the pistol/marksmanship training. Picked up a Fusion Blaster Arm CBM from butchering a corpse as well, hopefully the fusion blaster rifle will be more impressive.

it’s not too damaging, but it’s a lot of fun. Shoot at 10 tiles away from or you’ll get cought in the explosion (not dangerous, but destroys armor and clothing, which is annoying).
Hey look, it’s Azrad’s worst nightmare.

I’d bet he’d cry a bit inside when he sees this image…
I’m organizing it bit by bit. Got a spot for rags and other raw materials, and a corner for guns, watches, and other anomalous things that Ragnar has no business playing with. Then I’ll want to set aside non-perishable food, tools, and clothes in their own piles.
It is SO easy to eat from a pile by standing in it! (Might wanna add eating from adjacent to preserve some table manners, still wish my stylish cannibal could get bonus from using proper cutlery.)
My ninja archer just cleared a school and now plans on fixing a bus.
I’ll make some tables eventually I guess. Maybe drag a locker over to stash the godforsaken anomalies that Ragnar would assume are sorcerous. Like guns. o3o
For now I finally got some semblance of order.
I have the exact same problem. I’m living like a hoarder in the bedroom of an apartment complex that was one of the first things I cleared. Thankfully, I’ve got some relatively organized piles going right now. A pile for books, guns/ammo, food, medicine, clothes, CBMs, and two acting as catchalls for miscellaneous junk and electronics. Once I find a place to live in as a permanent base and build a vehicle to haul everything over there, I’ll organize everything properly.
I thankfully don’t need separate spaces for blue books, yellow books, and pink books now. Yay illiteracy?
One of these days I’ll probably make an overly-organized base just or the hell of it. With paint I could probably even color-code the tiles that the books are on so I don’t ever forget which pile is which.
Now, I got all my gear reinforced except my wool cloak. Yes, I even reinforced the small relic I started with. I gave the bandits a single night free from my trolling while I raided a mansion, so tonight…you.
EDIT: Running around shooting bandits is fair if you never reload, right? Makes sense that Ragnar miiight figure out “pull trigger, ears bleed” without too much trouble. o3o
EDIT 2: Okay, enough waving loud shooty anomalies at the vile brigands. Rangar’s gonna fuck em up the right way, with a sling.
EDIT 3: Plink. Plink. Plink. Thud.
EDIT 4: Final bandit. Guess who found 2 mines, all in a row? Heheheheh.
EDIT 5: …um? Excuse me? Dafuq?
EDIT 6: EVERY SINGLE BANDIT had power Corpse Bandit Meats Compact Bionics Modules on them.
Was driving out of town after getting sick of it, when just around the corner was a barricade, unfortunately close enough for me to be in range, so I put on as much speed as I could possibly accelerate to and drove down the road (thankfully I didn’t have to go through the barricade, it was just nearby.) while a milspec and a anti-material turret was laying down fire, thankfully the anti-material one didn’t manage to hit and the milspec didn’t land any hits on me, and I happily drove out of their sight.
If I hadn’t repaired the doors earlier to stop grapplers from yanking me out of my Humvee, that milspec would probably have blasted me to pieces.
Later I ended up accidentally driving straight through a minefield without setting off any mines.
So today is the day of near misses and good luck.
There is a triffid grove somewhere near my farm. They haven’t bothered me much yet, but they will likely be a problem sooner or later.
EDIT: I am surrounded by wolf corpses and my own blood. OW.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Fear da cluttah!
Muffled Cheeki Beeki in the Distance.
Get out of here, Stalker. Or I’ll kite you into more mines.
