It changes to red and/or points in a different direction if you lose control of a vehicle and start drifting.

I took down a chicken walker with some zombies and a .22 pistol. It was a few buildings away from me down a road with a group of zombies between us. I think the noise of gunfire lured it over into the zombie group where it got seriously damaged. It killed all the zombies and was left with enough health for 3 .22 FMJ rounds to kill it. The roadblock it spawned at had a load of useful military stuff and without the ATSV there is a clear path to a pair of gun stores. Not bad for day 8.

There are missions you can take in that necropolis. Not as many as the outpost, but you need to be a marshal from doing missions for the old guard, plus you have to wear the badge.

Third floor of this lab I’m exploring seems pretty dangerous. Extremely hot and a sheer drop, I’m guessing that something I don’t want to be in collided with the lab when the world was created. Power armor or no, I’m not going down there.

Finally reached the bottom of a lab on my third lab. The first one had a Melchior room with no doors on the second floor and the second one had a staircase to hell. Well, I was hoping for a CVD, but I got a quantum solar panel and some laser weaponry, so I suppose it was worth it.

I just found a second refugee center. Has exactly the same quests. Haven’t followed it for enough to see if it points me to a second ranch/outpost or not, though.

I’m already a marshall, but that doesn’t seem to affect the representative.
