What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

Ugh. I’ve lost a lot due to crashes. I usually suicide the character when it happens it’s so annoying. Like, if I’m going to lose all that time I just spent I might as well try out something new, right?

More or less. Though, since most of the progress lost is mostly book learning and crafting, I’ll stick to my character for now. Plus, just got started with the quest line that’s building an outpost.

RNG is having a field day with this character.

First, a Mi-Go spawned around a group of dead soldiers right outside my shelter, but I managed to kill it with a combination of throwing sticks, window shenanigans, and using the knife spear’s sweet new reach attack. The only thing any of the soldiers had on them that was useful were their combat boots and a single pack of C-4, but whatever, I’m not gonna complain.

I went down into the closest town to scavenge for food and tools. I found some good stuff, but I also caught a glimpse of a FUCKING TANKBOT patrolling the streets, which explains why the town is unusually empty of zombies and also why half the houses I scrounged in were missing walls. Thankfully I managed to get out of sight and it didn’t follow me back to the shelter, but I have no idea how I’m going to take that thing out.

I then went to explore a mansion that’s relatively close to my home. There were surprisingly few zombies inside, and I found a ton of cool stuff including a Book of the Five Rings.

Now I just need to decide whether I want to make my base in the evac shelter or the mansion. And then I need to acquire a vehicle so I can effectively move around and loot surrounding locations.

So I got to the bottom of the thing or what turned out to be the bottom about at least one level higher. Kinda disappointed, still, got some incredibly liberal use out of my incendiary grenades and powered armor though.

Was REALLY not prepared for the tank drones though.

Pain: 1808
:)

Fancy burning much?

Finally crafted some tiger claws. After this, I reckon the next step up will be bionic claws and my centipede-style character shall reign supreme.

He died so fast he didn’t even know what hit him. Long live whatever-his-name-was, who also was a character I was testing shields and medieval gear with. owo

Or maybe he had the Masochist trait? “Oh, yes, more burning <3”

He died as he lived: hailing Caesar (was testing a legionary loadout).

Death True to Caesar.

Si. owo

In other adventure-related news, was mucking about with a burglar class.

EDIT: NPC wants me to kill zombie relative? Oh sure, just tell the chick with burglary tools, whom you encountered in a pawn shop, where your house is. Suuure, you can trust me not to jack all your shit…

EDIT 2: Weird name is weird. Time to get looting.

EDIT 3: Aw sweet, road roller right outside that house, better than what little I found inside. Everything working except one tank is busted and it’s out of fuel.

EDIT 4: Huhm, weird. Liquor store that had a minefield genned on it, so the whole structure was gutted haphazardly and littered with mines.

EDIT 5: Okay, who’s the joker than put weed in the toilet?

EDIT 6: Neither garage in the area has an acetylene torch, which I want to loot the banks with. Road roller is getting kinda banged up too.

EDIT 7: Found a fortified crazy survivalist house. Oh god the mines are under the carpet! D:

EDIT 8: And I thought carpet mines were bad. Are you shitting me?

EDIT 9: Ahahahah! It’s a looter’s dream come true.

Trying out the rotary carbine. Single shots surprisingly powerful at close range. Killed a brute in five shots at a distance of about 4 tiles or so. Pretty good considering it’s only using .22 rounds.

On the other hand, is it really that loud? I noticed that one shot is at 80 sound, and that’s with poor hearing.

Bah. Had the same situation in one house. Shouldn’t have been running through it…

That’s silent to me. I’m used to go blasting 165–200 units with shotguns and rifles though.

Went through those sewers. Found a vault. Canned foods, munitions, a LOT of irradiated wankerswanderers. And, to make things comical, an intact Humvee.

I have also accidentally hit ‘Reveal the whole map’ in the debug menu and noticed something named ‘hellmouth’ in the middle of a rift. Teleported there, only to find nothing but lava and blocked stairs. What is it?

33 days into my subway squatting hobos cataclysm. Found some fabrication and cooking books in a library. But still no mechanics books. In a tools and knowledge bottleneck in some areas. But spotted another library i am working towards getting the area around cleared out.

Also got a nice stockpile of metal fletched arrows built up for my composite bow. Which I’ve begun to use as a main weapon. It’s been invaluable for thinning herds of zombies and during hunting food when out in the forest. Also used it hunting fungaloids to trim their numbers back. When summer hits ( very rainy right now and 91 days seasons ) I hopefully will have enough molotovs and flammables to properly start hitting back against the fungus. But for now lots and lots of fluid sacks being farmed off them. My scrapyard of salvaged running cars and using a bus to push nearby wrecks to near the subway entrance has resulted in plentiful scrap , glass and parts all ready to get torn apart and rebuilt at my whim. I just need to find the right tools. In the meantime I have historical armour smithing and sword making books to keep me busy. If I can find a river and dig some clay I could get some basic forging done at least.

Apart from that. Had a pair of brutes chasing me. Thanks to archery hits and fire they got whittled down pretty fast. Also been using my fireaxe to hack through walls to get into some buildings for easy escape/ looting. Planning to set up a proper transit system using the subway tunnels once I get a welder. With a car to drive me between subway stops. As it appears it’s a pretty extensive network on the edge of a decent sized urban area.

Trying to remember where I left da road rollah. Oh…uhoh. Bad robofox, I just want to burglarize them zombies. I’ll leave pirate’s cove alone, I swear! ;-;

EDIT: Oh right, in front of the booby-trapped house. Hahah. Foxy, meet the Ruger Redhawk. Redhawk, meet Foxy. I’ll sure you two will get along just fine.

Animatronics?

I love to run them into zombies.

Yep. Stupid animatronic fox. It was rather hell-bent on chasing me, if I wasn’t just barely fast enough to put some distance between us while sprinting, I would’ve tried that.

Instead of raiding my burglar’s booty it got keelhauled instead. owo

In a nother stroke of genious i set fire to my base again while trying to light the fireplace.
Good thing i could douse it with my drinking water.
I am realy prone to burning all my stuff… aiming this firedrill is realy hard… and while i am at it i dun notice at all that i am setting fire to the couch noooo this is intended actually.
At the same time i noticed that i can lap up the spilled water with the eat command… uh cool?

Really odd. Not a lot of NPCs showing up… only two so far in around a week at 10x NPC spawn.

Now I’m wondering if I ran out of NPCs to kill in the area.

Derpfox burning all the things and drinking off the water. :V

Meanwhile I’m now organizing my loot. So many guns and useful books.
