Just watch where you drive that thing. Need I link that random death screenshot again? :V
Travelled to a nearby city. Met two people, Amanda something and “Guy”.
Amanda approached me, telling me she wanted to talk. When I engaged in a conversation with her, she told me she was a killer for hire. Okay.
I proceeded to smash the windows out of every building to break in, “Guy” actively avoided me.
I then retired to a small house, and fumbled around in the dark without a flashlight, shutting all the doors and cutting myself on a broken window several times because I don`t know how to sleep.
This is the first play-through where I actually live longer than day one as well.
Holla holla get $.
No seriously, hit shift-4 ($) to sleep. owo
Fungaloid encroachment proving beyond my ability to curtail with minimal resources. Pre-emptively moving to the dead end section of a subway network. Built a bed, stone fireplace. And using cover of night to start moving supplies and firewood, nails and varied resources down there. Heading to the woods once that’s done to go foraging for more food to tide me over whilst clearing town up. Oh and eyebots have started appearing. Which have been great for distracting the zeds. Now I’ve got my little underground hovel set up I cans tart hunting to find mechanics books so I can build a generator for some more permanent lighting down here. Let’s do this metro 20whatever style.
I used to think bows weren’t so great.
Recurve Reflex + mods, man. I dropped my short shotgun because I still do more damage with the bow at any range in less time. -.-
I found a rather elegant solution for that: Keep it on you in a holster. Makes a wonderful “Plan F” weapon.
In unrelated news, I’ve located a pair of V12 engines and ditched the damn V8 Diesels, it’s now acceptably fast with minimal risk… But now I have to outrun the zombies and the EPA (If I did my math right, which I’m pretty sure I didn’t, it gets 1 mile per 23 gallons currently)
Need to find more military plating before it’ll be ready to be revealed… But since I’m currently exploring a … …thing… … That may not be any time soon.

Not the solution to my slight horror, though. When organizing things in my base, weapons are more or less organized as such: on skill, so handguns, rifles, shotguns, submachine guns, launchers, bows, melee, and throwing weapons. Ammo is then sorted out by normal ones, shotgun rounds, exotic ammo such as hydrogen and fusion packs, launcher ammo, and arrows/bolts/misc. So normally the short shotgun should be placed on the shotgun rack because it has shotgun in the name, as well as using the rivtech shotgun rounds… but skill says handguns so it should be placed on the handgun rack due to it’s skill. THE HORROR!
Also, building a car again. Gonna be like the vehicle I had on my previous playthrough, except instead of military composite rams, it’ll be roller drums. It’ll take a lot of time though, since I butchered a ton of APCs and military cargo trucks to get all the needed parts.

My storage in my vehicle is pretty similar XD But I do store the short shotgun with the pistols. Simply because I catch stuff in the wrong spot by noticing the change in “Skill used” XD
That said I do tend to clump /most/ my ammo into the same area, I only separate rockets.
I hear you people speaking about “organized storage”. What are those odd words you speak of?
This, ladies and gentlemen, is a shot of part of my base. There’s a bunch more shit lying around. And be happy you can’t see the inside of my modified shopping carts. I’m fairly certain I’ve got an anvil in one of those.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Must… have… Organized Storage!!!
I used to organize my stuff but now I keep everything but bulk food storage etc. in a 3x3 pile. I press ‘A’ in inventory management with sorting by category and the game organizes the whole pile for me. I build my anvils and fireplaces next to the pile and can make anything and everything from one spot.
The Pile. Live it, learn it, love it.
What screenshot?
You know it was very weird to see a crowd of zombie dancers running past me not giving a damn. After wandering through that town shooting the undead endlessly, it was just weird. Another fortunate occurence was me having that fancy mininuke. I left it near the crowd and ran away. Not sure if I want to check that place again.
Then there were these barricades and a tank drone. Took quite a while to get rid of it but the reward was absolutely worthy — an almost intact military lorry with 70% full petrol tank.
in other news, WHEN did they add this quest chain to the NPC that wants a relic? This is pretty frigging neat. owo
That one is actually very old probably around .5 old or something, can’t quite remember.
It was around when I started playing again at 0.C. That’s where I got the cult idea suggestion on the drawing board suggestion.
Hmm. I think it was because I didn’t know the game HAD quest lines back then, so I must’ve never pursued multiple quests from the same NPC. Likely because I assume it’d just randomly pick another quest from the list of ones I knew about. =w=
Also hilarious, the priest’s house turned out to be literally next to and behind the cathedral. It had a fenced-in backyard with, for some reason, several human corpses piled on the same tile in the backyard, all along with the same outfit.
On a high spawn rate the priest’s house turned out to be some sort of orphanage… because one of the rooms was filled to the max with zombie children. There were around 8 beds on one room, and about 40 zombie children stuffed inside.

Everything stays nice and organized when all you have is on your person.
Was able to find the fletchers friend and handloaders helper. Just hit fabrication 5 and crafting metal arrows for the composite bow I looted from a sporting goods store. Got a large quiver and making some mods for the bow too. Was able to loot a fireaxe and soldering iron and my scrap yard outside the surface of the subway station is growing. Now I am finding myself limited by lack of tools. Nowhere to find clay to get charcoal forge/ crucible started. Yet to find a welder too. But my little subway station underground hovel / hoard is building up nicely. Supplied with water 1 block over from a swimming pool and plenty of forest outside of town I go to forage and hunt to keep topped up on food. Slowly chipping away at these 2.0 spawn rate zombies. Also looted a .22 pistol and 200 rounds off an npc that got stabbed in the face by a skeleton. Now the ongoing mission for books and tools continues for my hobo.
Oh, this burned. Don’t have autosave turned on, since I prefer to save when my character wakes up/every once in a while/when I remember… so of course there’s a sudden power outage just as I finish crafting loads of stuff.
