What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

Niiiice.

Also dammit, I’m running into the problem again where when I start recording, I fuck up and get killed in episode 1 and end up with a series that I can’t do, haha. It is a tad discouraging but I just need to stick to it.

I feel like I should stream it rather than record it but at the same time I wanna mess about with Movie Studio and put in some goofy stuff.

Anyways, so far my Escaped Moth Mutant runs have been ended by zombies in the evac basement in one run, and a pack of wolves in another run. (And my own awkwardness in commentary in a third run)

First base on my current playthrough was a hospital, then I found a small warehouse.

For a brief moment, my desire for an organized base has been fulfilled. Still under construction, though.

I feel like I should give this tileset a look, I’ve seen it in the past couple of screenshots, it looks really really cool and it might help Youtube viewers (and myself) get a better idea of what’s going on.

I am not sure if it’ll allow for me to mod in a ChazMoth sprite like I’ve got working with RetroDays, though (It’s fully geared for 0.C Stable though, right?)

Yeah, Chesthole is available on 0.C. It’s tweaked a little on experimental though.

Just discovered that while it says normal, the rapid strike centipede provides still works.

Perhaps you should pile all your fail runs together into a chaz fails series for funsies.
Ofc people don t always want to see you fail but if they specificly want to theyd have a place to look for then.

I know i am suggesting extra work >.>

We’ve got another youtuber in our midst!? I’ll take off my imaginairy tophat for ye. cheers
also fail compilation ( from a letsplayer i’m assuming ) sounds like a great idea.

Time to go lurking to find both Azrad and Chaz on the youtubes / twitch >_>

I keep pestering Azrad to link us to his youtube, yus. owo

The link to my youtube is in my signature next to the tiny pixel mothman, if you are interested in checking it out!

Also I should maybe try a fails compilation. I always feel a little bit perfectionistic when it comes to recordings though - if I can’t survive in the space of 15-20 minutes I usually drop the recording and try again, unless I’m streaming

It won’t exist until I finish the video. I’ll be able to upload it in a week.

If I don’t, I will eat a hat. And when I say I will eat a hat, I ain’t being metaphorical about it. I’ll get this hat I bought a few months ago, cut it up, and eat it. So, a week, or it’s hat eating indigestion.

I’ll need to when I’m out on the laptop, as my net at home is a potato. :V

And will be neat to see it. Have fun with it, and don’t sweat the small stuff. Or else I’ll eat you and your hat. <3

In the event of sever misfortune pls record the ensuing hateating session and upload it in lieu of your catarun to youtube.

By the way, any chances there is a CBM: Skul Gun in Cata?

And vending machines that give you lemon-lime soda when the buy menu says they’re orange? o3o

Oh my god, JC, a bomb!

Anyway’s here’s my latest video, in which I get into a slapfight with a zombie cop and ultimately lose: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bh7GvQ55RXQ

So, I had a GREAT run going, then did something REALLY dump and died. Bummer.

Anyway, started over in a lab. I usually like playing ninja (light step, weak scent, ninjutsu), but this time, I gave up light step and ninjutsu for 2 more int points and Robust Genetics. So, basically, Weak Scent, Robust Genetics, Night vision, and 14/12/14/12 stats are all I’ve got (well, and some disadvantages - glass jaw, bad hearing, some allergies, lightweight, thin skin, but no NPC-affecting cheesiness).

A zombie drops a hammer (which is always the problem in lab runs), but I can’t find any good electronics books… several CBMs from butchering zcientists, but I don’t dare to install them… then somebody drop a teleporter! I collect everything I can, teleport out, and start looking around…

To the south east, a bit outside starting vision range, I find a mansion with 4 suits of Japanese armor on display in the entrance… and a full library. I find 5 rings.

So, katana, 5 rings, 12 perception. I two-shot (or better) everything I’m found since then (I’ve one-shotted brutes without a crit), and I’ve only got melee 3. Wow. Ninjutsu is nice and all, but with high perception, Niten is AMAZING.

Question: so, I’ve got a katana and a wakizashi… I’m using the katana (habit), but I’m wondering if the speed boost on the wakizashi would be worth switching. Anybody have experience with that?

Anoyher adventurer, this time ambush scenario. Curious lack of zombies, and the starter NPC needs antibiotics. Go visit town, you say. Sure, if we were anywhere NEAR a town. Only features revealed on my map are a FEMA camp and a lab.

So after deciding to clear the surface area surrounding a Lab Entrance with my new A7 Laser Rifle, I saved the game in case of crashes and reloaded it to find this…

Sweet zombie Jesus, what did you do?

Also, I murdered the NPC due to lack of food. Nyeheheh. Turns out he didn’t have night vision, so I could just keep backpedaling and reloading my crossbow and he couldn’t shoot my with his shotgun because he couldn’t ever SEE me.

Turns out during my half hour or so long sweep of the area surrounding the lab entrance all that unsilenceable laser rifle fire and noise of zombie combat attracted 5 overmap tiles worth of hordes in all directions. I guess saving and reloading the game finally spawned them.

Edit: I did the logical thing and drove my way straight out through the hordes thanks to the power of my Military Police Interceptor’s 8.00-Liter V8 engine and its heavy framed military composite armor shell. Gotta come back with more firepower and napalm, lots and lots of napalm.
