Huehuehue. To be honest I don’t know what actually occurs if you leave the infection untreated. Does it just keep fucking you up, kill you, or is that how you gain Mycus mutations?
EDIT: Found a LMOE shelter as my innawoods character. Tempted to stay, but I settled on a nomadic life. Might cobble a travois and frame to haul some goodies with me.
I really wish we had a deployable drag board or sled to use. I HAD one in More Survival Tools but modded it out. :V

btw
third day with the toon Killed a shocker brute with a cudgel, got the UPS CBM :F
!!FUN!!
Now to get to the safe-ish area and i’ve got a bright future ahead of me
The real issue now is how it screeches at me without wheels. If we had sled skids maybe. A travois and wooden frame is readily craftable and buildable even with 0 Mechanics, but a source of wheels that doesn’t require at least 2 tiles to function isn’t as available.

an extra-lightweight frame is basically a couple pipes welded together,
The cargo carrier is basically a platform with ropes to tie stuff to which doesn’t have to be massive by any means.
but as it stands it seems like a reasonable middleground imo
Besides i could totally see myself dragging things around by worse means :F
i could understand casters if you’re dragging around a floor trunk or a form of large basket…
But the travois / cargo carrier ( Yes, i’ve said it ) wouldn’t necessarily require wheels
I died on day 86. I had a fully stocked LMOE shelter with food and supplies, but went driving to find fresh ammo for my guns (i’m terrified of melee combat). As I was driving, a zombie punched a wheel on my car and broke it, I fumbled the controls and rammed into 2 zombies who stalled my car on a bridge. A hulk smashed his way into the front of the car, and my pheromones wouldn’t work to turn him friendly for a few turns. He punched me out of my car and off the bridge into the water, where I drowned.
Well I never want to do that again… Just completed a three day road trip at nearly 1000 pain constantly, spewing spores out the side of my half destroyed ambulance, while dodging hordes, military roadblocks, and tank drones, and having done it by subsisting off of a gallon jug of protein shake. But I did it, found a hospital and some anti-fungal drugs, even used the stem cell machine to fix myself up good as new. The sheer amount of Huge Boomers in that place was ridiculous though. But other then that I found a relatively intact APC on a backroad nearby and on the way back home it seems things are finally looking up.
heh that’s funny in a way
Just the other day a fella was saying that getting punched by hulks into water was the right way of handling them! heh.
I’m sure he landed in that water fit as a fiddle, then he sunk like a rock.
Well it does prevent most of their damage ( Comes from landing on the ground rather than being punched ) or so i’ve heard.
Which however… Doesn’t matter much if you can’t swim
also dang! you’re the second person i’ve told to go to the hospital that survived
I feel like i’m accomplishing something here
