Driving the mean streets of the unnamed town, clearing it completely. A pile of corpses here, a puddle of blood and intestines there, a burnt fungal tower, several minefields. Speaking of which, is there a way to get rid of them, fast? I tried blowing a mininuke on one, to no avail.

Either disarm them, or throw rocks at the visible mines to trigger them. Pretty much the only way to quickly clear out minefields.

Ran into a bunch of Floating Eyes just now, tried to killed one but decided against it once I realized a sawn-off Saiga 12 loaded with 00 shot wasn’t gonna do anything to em and they just seemed to keep spawning nearby after being killed. My new motorcycle came out of it unscathed, but not before I was blinded then teleported by the Floating Eyes. Now I’ve got the Shakes, was randomly Boomered out of thin air while driving, am Hallucinating (having seen a Dark Wyrm, Flesh Angel, and Shoggoth), and to top it all of I crashed my bike on the way into town. Today’s been the shitiest day of the apocalypse by far.

The shakes and hallucinations stopped. But I don’t currently have either of those, my only form of transportation is wrecked, and night’s already fallen. Let’s hope the one nearby gardening store has some fungicide, because this is gonna get real bad real fast if it doesn’t.

Edit: You vomit a thick, gray goop. And the gardening supply was a bust. I’m both famished and dehydrated from puking guts out on the way over, gotta get back to the shelter. This is gonna be a long night.

Made it back to the Evac Shelter in what remains of one piece. Ate through my perishables and rehydrated before taking some codeine, putting on a splint, and going to sleep. Woke up to vomiting live spores and fungus bursting again from my broken arms. I have to purge this with some form of anti-fungal treatment, or it’s just gonna keep happening, don’t I…

HOLY SH*T! I just realized having Pain at 1600+ drops all my stats to 0…

Okay, stay calm, I can fix this. There’s an SUV in a cleared part of town with 6% gas if memory serves. Got a couple gallon jugs of spare fuel in my crashed motorcycle nearby, can use them to gas it up, then drive further and find a gas station during the search, most of the hordes have dispersed from town thankfully. I’ll take some extra shells from the shelter and go pickup my saiga from where I dropped it just in case though, hopefully I can still hit something with a shotgun using the mass of fungal stalks that are now my arms.
