What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

Ooh, that gives me ideas. owo

Azrad sounds good mate

Well keep us posted if you do

Got my character recently killed by a grappler zombie. It reached out and wrapped its tentacle around his neck… while he was driving by it. Yoink -> Head HP: 0.
Just bring all the napalm. ALL OF IT.

No tears, only burning.
Napalm flood sounds delightful, yes.

If hentai has taught me anything, its that it could be worse. o3o

Building a small shack

Started playing CDDA again a couple days ago
Was so awkward at first as i instinctively used keys that i’ve completely forgot about ^^

Just made a 15/8/8/8 Infected Police Officer who knows Krav Maga. Starter house had a bottle of disinfectant, which I’m gonna save until I find a First Aid Book so I don’t just waste it all. Found two USBs of HackPro in the trashcan, useless now but cool for later. And I found an intact Go Bag in the bedroom. There are scattered groups of zombies outside and a couples Hordes I can spot in the distance, but this start just seems to good.

Edit: And the starter survivor just started burst-firing out the living room windows while I was disassembling the Go Bag. So many Zombies incoming.

Good lord the food supply room in the refugee center that I turned into my base has so many display racks. In order to have an idea which item should go where, I had to drag all of them outside. For now, most of the goods I’ll put in there are the ones that I hauled in the recent trip. Don’t think I’ll nab any items from base 1, except maybe the ammunition for my scout rifle, and maybe some parts to set up my solar panel rig with all the other parts like chemistry lab, foodco, etc.

Need to jackhammer a few places here and there, for the solar rig to get in and a trash room where I dump in, well, trash and tools I already have.

Aside from that, I’ll set up more containers for chemical stuff. One locker isn’t enough for chemical stuff if I keep looting labs, so I’ll probably go with 7 or 8 display racks. Spare parts stuff will have to be expanded a bit. One counter for the normal spare parts, another for batteries/nails/duct tape/etc, and one for plastic chunks only, since I often get a ton of those. Another for casings, and another for stuff like solder/lead/etc… basically ammo components. Food will pretty much be the same, but maybe an extra one for candy items like chocolate bars and powdered candy sticks.

Jackhammered another wall so I can get an area to funnel water. Feels like jenga where one wrong jackhammer will bring the roof down. Anyway, jackhammering the walls only gave me a rock floor which doesn’t seem to gather water. So I made a rope and pulley system on that tile, then smashed it, and the rock floor turned into a dirt floor.

In any case, base two should more or less have the exact same organizational madness I did with base 1, though with a few extras, and a different layout due to the smaller space.

And Azrad once again implodes from organizational mania.

It’s the curse that keeps on cursing.

Curses, foiled again. owo

On a related note, I never see any aluminum foil.

One true purpose of CDDA is to test the OCD and organizational instincts of a person, to break them. The joke’s on CDDA. My OCD was overwhelmed years ago by other exhaustive games, of which Dwarf Fortress played no small part.

Me neither. Not once found alu foil. Is it in the recipes? Could it be crafted from alu objects?

Far as I know, it can’t be crafted, and is only used to craft a few things like funnels and tinfoil hats. And least my version, before it was scrapped, was useful for cooking.

Funny thing is that I’m not this organized in real life.

At least most PC games are manageable, unlike Real Life. And things tend to STAY organized in PC games. I mean, clean up a home and it looks half-nice for a week at most. F that with a crooked cactus. If I had to manually fold all my clothes in CDDA using mouse gestures, it’d get real messy real fast. If I had a button that would fold my shirts in Real Life, I’d fold my shirts quite regularly. If I had to wash dishes after every meal in CDDA, I’d rather risk infection and illnesses and do my damnest to find antibiotics or a CBM that would help deal with dirty plate related infections. If I had a button in Real Life that would start the dish-cleaning process, I’d wash my plates enmasse more often, as opposed to cleaning the least dirty plate every time. I suppose it’s soon that time of the year that I have to execute the mass-cleansing of all my utensils, and enjoy the rare sight of having so many clean plates. I should probably start taking a pictures of them, frame them and label them by year, just to admire them and possibly observe any changes over decades.

We all have breaking points. We all get tired eventually. Chores are a hell on earth and they must die. My god how they can test the patience of man. If I had to choose between chores and starving, I’d try to starve to death first and see if I could die laughing.

Hollowing out some areas here and there on the refugee center. Also roofed up the tile where the stairs the lead down to the basement area of the center, which in turn makes the stairs tile a floor tile. That’s kinda mean, but it’s for the greater good of my character having a vault where he can store expensive junk like diamond rings and whatnot.

So uh… this just happened to me…

Suffice to say, I almost broke my engine speeding away.

AK-47 just killed its third Hulk, it’s proving immensely useful. Got Fabrication 7. Spent two days making waffle irons for that. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with all these waffle irons, but for the first time in my CDDA history, I actually have the whole metalworking deal nailed down. That was Rivet that implemented the bulk of that, right?

God, I wish I could read. A reflex recurve bow would make my life much easier, but it’s only craftable. The best thing I’ve found in a sporting goods store is a composite, which is a downgrade from my longbow as far as I can tell. At least I have arrows. At least I have so many goddamn arrows.

Finishing up my very first building project, A shack between a swamp and a river
Decided to skip placing roofs over the 9x17 garage area, I’d prob need to spend another season chopping down trees for that.
Also gave up on trying to make a symmetrical door design work, Tore out half the kitchen area and expended the “solar array” type vehicle that i’ve shielded with the building’s walls
It’s frame now also serves as the floor, the roof & The doors/windows!
I can barely imagine such a thing in real life but, surely. I’d love to be the guy who made it!

but for now, I’m merely a step closer to finally divorcing my recurve reflex bow having set up an area to dedicated to gunpowder production.

Back to the Bork Borg. Bank? Yes. Can saw through bars to reach the console, best used as a free light so I can read these books. Better to eventually get some skill and thus yank out these fucking itchy things.

Hacker!

That cabin by the river looks immensely cozy, even by CDDA standards. All your stuff in a nice setup, good view of the river, it’d take a few hours for anything to break in the windows… a nice relaxing vacation home.
