What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

I really should add a minireactor or a gas engine for my second car. It’d be a waste if I didn’t give it a test run on running over the streets. Built from scratch, around 5x10 in size, all parts with military composite plating, heavy duty boards and roof, 5 military composite rams front and back, mostly cause I can’t find roller drums.

Would be fun to use it to basically run over the streets filled with zombies.

“Well, screw you, too, zombie bio-operator.”

I wish I knew for certain if it was the bouncing bio-operator corpse that damaged my elbow pads. I mean, he was in a corner when I delivered that glorious retaliation with my fire axe.

Your muscles hiss as hydraulic strength fills them!
You stand up.

I love moments like this. o3o

Starting to wonder if I should use a light survivor suit. On one hand, I said no survivor gear. On the other hand, the nomad suit has better bash protection, and the same cut protection, as the light survivor suit.

But does the light survivor suit have all that lovely storage?

Indeed. On the other hand, the light survivor suit has better environmental protection and has 0 encumbrance when it fits.

You bet.
One had better have some driving skill. I think I made a 360° turn once whilst driving through the crowd.

Agreed, good pic.

The hydraulic muscles CBM doesn’t seem to affect the melee damage when I look at the character screen, but dammit the message you get when it gets activated sounds badass. Also badass is wielding the rising sun and lighting it up in the dark, ready to fight a horde of zombies surrounding you.

Anyways, will driving skill 7 be sufficient for lots of zombie ramming?

Also, found an interesting site for a new base. A ruined mega store, I reckon I can clean up all the rubble, and then rearrange some of the remaining furniture, but keep most of the destroyed walls as it is as I build a make shift base inside the remains.

Clearing out the rubble from the megastore. Just one map tile worth left. About 70-80 percent of the megastore was rubble when I entered the place.

I have now reached that phase of my usual construction plans, called the argh I hate this plan phase. Still got loads work to do. Don’t plan on repairing the roof, as I’ll just stick to the remaining roof tiles as the main parts of base 3. However, that doesn’t mean I won’t clean up. Mop up all the blood, wheelbarrow and sort out all things out of the rubble. Move the intact display racks around for !ORGANIZATION! and all those other things I do.

Back to Cyberhulk and his 4 int/per. Small town still lacking the stuff I’ll need to get this RV in the condition I’ll want for a long-term trip.

EDIT: Krumped a zombie master in the apartments, and also…dafuq? It seems huge boomers can gloop you even without line of sight to you. I’m in the hall, it’s outside, I get glooped.

EDIT 2: Nope, just a well-hidden normal boomer in the room I was in the middle of clearing out.

EDIT 3: Cyberhulk am slimyshiny now. Halp.

EDIT 4: Aced the 6% chance of intimidating the starter NPC into following me. Why? So she can read to my illiterate cyberderp.

EDIT 5: NPC whining about sleeeeep. This feature has caused more annoyance. Does it even bloody heal them?

Spotted a beehive on my map. My first. The map data came from a lab terminal. I’m terrified and intrigued. A 3x3 formation of yellow 8’s in the middle of a forest. (Why 8’s and not B’s?!) Could it… could it really be the size of a school or a prison? I just want to utter “Nopenopenopenopenope…” and drive away at 200km/h on cocaine and caffeine until I find a nuke, and then do the right thing. The only thing.

Just bring all the napalm. ALL OF IT.

No tears, only burning.

After excessive use of artifacts and mutagens, I’ve finally breached the threshold and gained the feline trait. This has the effect of changing my morale indicator from  to :3. Now I just need to find more ways to kill time while the Old Guard looks for a new thing I can do.

Also, I found a really weird town while looking for some bandits. It’s just some houses and a radio station, but to the north of the buildings is a HUGE sidewalk that crosses right over the river. It doesn’t even become a bridge where the river would be, but it literally just paves right over it.

Also, trying and failing to get good bionics tacked on. Lab full of sexy bionics my skill is too low to install.

Now I have an AK47 and 240 rounds for all things arrows cannot defeat. It’s outfitted with a million attachments and engraved, even though I haven’t fired a shot with it yet. I almost put a suppressor on, but I want zombies to come to me anyway, and it’s kind of against the spirit of an AK.

Enjoy your ears bleeding.

HUH?

WHOLEHEARTEDLY

You can’t hear me over the sound of 7.62 millimeters of whoopass, it seems. o3o

Unlike the Mycus and the Triffids, I got a soft spot for the giant bees. There’s usually a lot of honey in them hives, and the central area has a good amount of precious royal jelly. And of course, the walls can be smashed for wax.

After that, fire is a-okay, though notably there’s not a lot to burn.

edit: good lord I hate my plan. Picking up all the stuff buried under the rubble, piling them in one corner and sorting it all out later, and only after I rearrange the display rack in order to satisfy my need for organization. I’m making my base on the ruins of a megastore! Nearly all the roof is gone, and I’m still organizing!

And all the junk items could be used. Rubber hoses for plastic chunks, copper tubing for 8x40 JSP, splintered wood for charcoal, etc… Deconstructing those glass door fridges give a sheet of glass.

The horrors of the cataclysm ain’t out there, it’s in my character’s mind and desire to organize.

Back to my desktop save, which has the cyborg with all faulty bionics. Searching around trying to find what I’ll need to boost my skills to start pulling out CBMs. Itchy Metal Thing is high on the fucking list.
