If you mean ‘Batter Down’ as in take down, use the acetylene torch to cut it down.
Sorry for the late reply…

Couldn’t find a garage, was easier to solve things in the only way my troll character knew how. owo
I just found a real nodachi on the first night by looting a weapon basement of some house.
I feel hopeful for the future.
Trust me, it’s just constipation you’re feeling.

That gives me an idea for the bad ideas thread…
This too will pass. giggles
Still not using any survivor gear. So far only armor is a dragon skin vest and an army helmet, and maybe the steeltoed boots if that counts. Despite having a decent melee skill and dodge, the damage piles up if I’m not too careful, and the risk of infected wounds are still there.
Shockers are pretty dangerous thanks to the spawn rate as well. Was at around 4 bars of health, and all of a sudden I’m paralyzed and next thing I know all body parts are red and the shockers are close. Would have died if the shockers were far away, since them moving close helped killed them via shotgun blast to the face.
There’s a bank on the outskirts of city that’s very close to my base. There’s a few other buildings as well, but pretty much all the zombies on that area are gathered around the bank, which was pretty much gone except for the metal room of the vault.
Killing all of them was hard work. Melee was trouble since I’m not using survivor gear, not to mention not padding my clothes with kevlar or leather. There was a ton of smokers and bloated leaving which hid a lot more zombies, so just when I thought I finished off one group, there’s another one lurking further in. And there were lots of spitters and shockers, so that often left me near dead, which on the bright side, was easy to recover from since the base was close by and I could rest for a while.
It took five days to clear out the base of zombies. It took extra time since some zombies kept getting up and it was hard to find some of them since they were buried in rubble.
Anyways, cut the doors down, opened the safes… and got gold bars and silver bars for all my trouble.
I’m pretty sure I don’t have this amount of a desire to keep things organize in real life. I keep books on my bed in case I wanna read, that sort of thing. Not a slob, but not everything is in order.
But here I am, in this game, having now decided to keep weapon types in separate containers. Handguns on one counter, rifles on another, etc… The bullets are a little more tricky, so I just went with grenades and rockets on one pile and the rest on another. Then, bows, crossbows, and spearguns are piled together on another counter, with their respective ammunition on a container under them.
Eventually I’ll go crazy and decide to separate melee weapons by type.
edit: now decided to organize the ammo piles. shotgun shells, exotic ammo (hydrogen, fusion pack), grenade launcher rounds and rockets, and the rest. Plus another pile for the bolts/arrows/speargun rounds/rails.
HELP!
I prefer to organize things by caliber. Each pile contains all the rifles, pistols, and ammo of one specific caliber. The only downside would be it takes quite a bit more room than your method, but I like the ease of grabbing a gun and the ammo for it all in one.
In the back of my APC parked next to a Triffid Grove at roughly midnight in the middle of a thunderstorm, I broke through the Alpha Threshold to become Prime. It’s good to be a metahuman and all but I’m curious. Alpha Mutagen is rather expensive to make and Serum doubly so. Can I get my post-threshold mutations from just drinking the Mutagen or do I need to shoot up Serum to get the really good stuff?
You can, but serum is more cost-efficient. One dose of serum, you usually get the effect of ~2.5 doses of mutagen.
I spent the whole week luring Krecks into a makeshift ranch I made for them. Gotta keep the little fellows safe from the monsters.
No Kreck, you ARE the monsters.

PURGE!!!.. WITH FIREEEE!!!
And then DeWolf was a shoggoth. 3:
Now if only I could get this metal door battered down.
EDIT: 16 strength isn’t enough to tear down a steel door bare-handed. +1 strength from meth plus a homewrecker isn’t enough? You know what IS enough?
It was somewhere around 80str when I finally started being able to punch steel doors down, I believe. With the recent changes, that means it can’t be done anymore unless you horde a LOT of artifacts. Even at 120str, it sometimes takes a while.
Bloody hell, 80 strength?
Maybe if I had a martial art that multiplied bash damage as a static buff. Ooh. Any idea how bash multipliers affect fisting doors to death?
Not at all. With doors, finesse doesn’t help - you’ve got to be brutal. Only pure strength and pure unmodified weapon bashing damage (not even reinforcing the weapon helps).
Damn. Oh well. Now I shall begin experiments with custom mutations giving +9001 strength… owo

I’ve been enjoying the difficulty of winter starts thanks to the new monster upgrades. Though, the one I added was a little underwhelming, so I’ll probably buff that up.
On another note, it’s doubly frustrating to play a character with a cold when irl I was waking myself up coughing last night. >.<
I just need to find Matthew St John a decent base to set up in…For now. I’m definitely doing a restart when acidia’s quest PR drops.
