What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?
I found a perfect, randomly generated “X” made out of water tiles in the middle of a street. Looked like this:

~ ~
~ ~

~ ~
~ ~

Ehh, mildly interesting I guess. Think I’ll use it as a spot to sacrifice items to the RNG gods every now and then.

I like to think that things like this are intentionally generated for some reason…
That’s brilliant!

Current count of shocker brutes in base is three. One’s in the collection line, another is next to my solar rig so I can cook outside at night, and the last one is currently marinating. Need to wait a day or so before it revives. If it becomes a slave, I’ll prop him up indoors, if not I’ll just kill and try again.

I already have one atomic lamp, but why waste a perfectly zany plan to light up a place using shocker brutes?

Also have begun to strap clothing on the zombie collection, because why not. Suits! They’ll all wear suits!

Tried to attach a jumper cable with one end of the solar rig and another end on a shocker brute. Sadly, this did not work and I ended up punching the brute and getting shocked in the process.

I seem to be repeatedly spawning in the same locations. Over. And Over. Again. Kinda annoying.

Finally managed to stop the blob problem. As it turns out, there was another area in the map that spawned dead scientists that had another amoebic mold.

Oddly enough, I found a scarred zombie in another area. I assumed they showed up on beehives only, or in wasp nests. Guess I’m gonna keep my eye out for one of those two. For now, it’s another zombie in the collection.

I’m upsizing my boat, the Maguro Maru reached its capacity fairly quickly, and the light wooden frames are more fragile than I expected.

It’s not done yet, I’m still rather reluctant to dismantle my old boat.

Add boats to the list of stuff I should try. Put a fucking ballista on it. o3o

The Maguro Maru has a single manual ballista fired from the driver’s seat. I use it to launch molotov bolts into buildings near the water.

It’s a bit too effective, I might nerf it later.

Incendiary ballista bolts? Sounds like a dorf’s worst nightmare.

Found a huge stash of guns with very little ammo in abandoned basement and a genuine katana in a pawn shop. Barely escaped a hulk zombie. Slaughtered an npc who tried to rob me with her pipe rifle. This game is best thing ever.

“Gimme all the loot, or I’ll…smoke ya good!”

An NPC came while I was installing parts onto the Koonago Maru, she demanded that I drop my kinetic bullet puller that I was using to clean up my stocks, so I did. Afterwards, she told me to go away.

Too bad for her I had already transferred my scorpion to the ship.

I responded blowing her head off with a ballista bolt.

She was armed with a SIG Mosquito.

What is it with NPCs having absolutely disgusting amounts of health?

Clearly the Scorpio only stings a bit.

It has “bullet” in name, it must be dangerous!

NPCs don’t have huge HP, they just have body parts like the player. Only headshots have to damage the head, critical hits can hit the arms and legs.

Now I’m imagining The Black Knight chasing after a boat.

“Get back here so I can…bite your mast off!”

Oh noes, an NPC with a flamethrower has burned down my marloss!!
Well, at least he’s gone with the fire…

Good riddance to another touch of the Mycus. owo

Cut down one of the doors of the fire station garage. Outside was a line of solar panels, so I put a steel frame plus a heavy duty board to cover the hole. Then I added a camera, then put the display indoors so I can have a view of the outside if I want to. Purely a cosmetic thing for most part, up until I decide to turn on wandering hordes again. I wanna get a full view of the surroundings of the outside of the fire station. Might want to throw in some floodlights as well so I can view things at night.

Found a cave in the middle of the city, and thankfully it was a rat cave. Food supply is still a little low. Water is okay since there’s a ton of park vending machines and since I started out on a fire station with a truck with intact water tanks, I’ll have a limitless supply of water. So I need lots of meat to dehydrate.

As for the rat king, I got mutated. Long fingernails and snout for the not very nice mutations, light eater, disease and infection resistant for the good ones.

Did a burning building scenario to change things up. Character didn’t last long because of the massive crowd of zombies, but that’s not the interesting part.

Amusingly, I kept watching the the last moments of my life. There were shocker brutes, normal brutes, even a hulk. I keep getting tossed around to places with even more zombies. On the other hand, I get some measure of revenge because there are a lot of spitter zombies, and they kept spitting out acid over and over again. Eventually, more zombies come, and they all fall to the pools of acid.

The brutes, the hulks, the shocker brutes and zombies, and everything else that’s not a spitter or firefighter all died. I reckon at least a hundred zombies died from acid.

I just found a basement in the city which gave me a warning that an intense heat is coming out of it when i tried to check it out. Also that it is a long drop. Am I right to suspect that it is dangerous?

Magma pit instead of a basement. It happens, sometimes subterranean features will generate into locations that stairs can reach. o3o
