What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

I broke into a lab by bashing through the walls with a sledgehammer into the main corridor - to discover a turret TWO BLOCKS away. To my delight… I wasn’t killed. Normally my characters are killed after being shot at from like 20 blocks away, but this un survived a point-blank burst. I grabbed some C-4, lit it and threw. BOOM.

I decided to come back later after finding that security bots have GUNS.

Currently crafting various specialized mutagens to get the best of all the mutation categories. Dinking troglobite mutagen to try and get the regeneration mutation.

Well, Made a new character cause slow zombies not fun anymore, and this character, which in my mind is called joe Smith cause thats teh template.
started with infection
First day- Hes in a small town with this one guy that has a shotgun, he lets that guy clear the town, then loots pharmacy but couldn’t find any antibiotics. then found some in the spider house right next to it… thankfully no spiders in the bathroom.
then has a near death experience with a spitter.

Second day-He wanders round city and and such and then walks off following a road. and then finds a FEMA camp and a migo and kreck fighting a manhack… so he shoots the kreck to death and lets the manhack chase the migo away. then sleeps in camp after he shot the exterior zombies.

Third day- During the morning whilst still dark he tried to get more ammo for his pistol he found but got discovered by zombie soldiers that he cant fight so he just simply ran off. then he found this peciulier artifact that had a bunch of raging fires spawning around it… this was a warm rod… Testing it now.

Fuck me. Fighting a single zombie as a threshholded out rat chick of death with a rapier, when some random npc from nowhere DECIDES TO SHOOT A FRIGGIN MININUKE LAUCHER AT IT. Goodbye Christa, you will be missed.

Just raiding a base, got into a tight spot with some manhacks and some zombies, I open a door to get shot point blank by a turret, still breathing, just barely… as I know these are my last few moments, I figured I’d give myself the satisfaction of taking every one of those fuckers, including the turret by… tossing a frag at the turret, closing the door, and droping a mini nuke as they closed in on me… I was out of painkiller, bandages, first aid kits, and well everything including ammo… At least I +20ed my total kills.

Start an Abandoned scenario game. Two hallways and a cafeteria of zombies between me and the front lobby - don’t take any time to loot. Get out the front door: giant ants, all over the place. Ants start fighting zombies. I book it with a flashlight and scissors from a car out front, a deep bite in my left leg, and no other supplies. Thank you, “Quick” trait.

Edit: Oh. Forgot to mention the horde of zombie dogs just around the corner. I think this may get … interesting.

Edit: CUBE VAN, DON’T FAIL ME NOW! accelerates to ramming speed

I have crafted a heavy rail rifle. When loaded with steel rails and accurized, it does 107 damage, has 40 armor piercing, a range of 90, and only 40 dispersion.

Glad to have someone finally use that. I actually designed that thing to take down zombie dancers in a more reasonable time-frame in the first place.

Score a headshot with that thing and most zombies simply evaporate, leaving nothing but a pile of clothing behind.

In other news, I found a really cold ice lab:

I just wonder how labs get this cold. Have I stumbled on a secret lab researching the mass production of dry ice or something?

You found an ice lab. Their coldness has something to do with the nether realm.

I used to only drink one kind of specialized mutagen like you, but then I took an insanity to the brain.

Still searching for Robots for Fun and Profit

Search inside office towers, I found the book in one once.

That’s my personal holy grail.

Holy shit, if you were a pokemon, all a trainer would have to do is catch you to catch 'em all.

There’s more than just one kind of lab? All I’ve ever gotten are colder than ass labs.

Normal, with no temperature change, and cold. I think someone was wanting to make firelabs as well, but it’s been put on backburner.

Icelabs technically should work as iceboxes, but alas, right now there’s a bug with rot calculation resulting in them not working unless you build into the lab itself, and then you’d have to wear warm clothing constantly.

I attempted to survive in a 16 max city, with 50.00 spawn rate and 0.01 supplies, Along with Surrounded Start, Zombie Night Vision Mod, and no beginning stat-boosts. I will now attempt to survive past 5 miliseconds.
I calculate that to survive, I will need to travel at 6159.4 parsecs per millisecond to gtfo.

I also learned the hard way (in a prison, no less) that security bots apparently have night vision, because even doing things like turning off my flashlight didn’t keep them from spotting and firing upon me. I didn’t die, though, despite playing a Flimsy character; there was enough distance that a lot of shots in their bursts went wide. When I bandaged myself up and went back, I just went ahead and engaged the old-fashioned way and beat them in first-to-fire contests with my Mosin, which it turns out is far more accurate and powerful than their 9mm pray-and-spray. Each one dropped in one shot. Granted, this was before the Mosin nerf.

tl;dr: if you’ve got an accurate and damaging shot (accurate enough that you don’t need to stop to aim and powerful enough that a regular hit will do meaningful damage), just pop them first and the best defense will be a good offense. Secubots are not very resilient. If you have a low-Dispersion gun, having some distance between you and the secubot will also give you an advantage even if you’re still inside their range; their shots disperse a fair bit.
