Invisibilitys a good replacement for all of that cause they just flat wont attack you
But that makes it TOO easy.
I don’t have the CBM that makes me invisible, I’m trying to provide bullshit counterarguments. Don’t tell anyone.
look for a mine, get tremors and fight the horrors till you get something that can
I think Cucina Italiana and chemistry textbooks will up your cooking when it’s at 3. The former can be found pretty much randomly; the latter can be found in places like school science lab storage rooms and chemistry enthusiasts’ basements.
EDIT: Another thing you can do when you’re wondering ‘what can I craft to grind this skill’ is open your crafting menu and search using S:(skill) as your parameter (the S needs to be uppercase in this case). That’ll dredge up a list of craftables that use and train that skill. It’ll appear in two lists–white stuff (what you can craft right now) and grey stuff (what you could craft with your current skills/references if you went and got the tools/components), and each one will be organized with the most difficult stuff at the top. At lower levels (4 and below) you’ll need to make items with a difficulty of at least your skill level to progress; at mid-levels you can also craft things a level under your current skill to progress; at like maybe level 10 you can even craft stuff two levels under to progress.
Heh, I already have a book (I think) that will get me up from 5 to 8. Searching for S: is a good idea, thanks.
… woops. He will not be sleeping for a while.
The reason Dat Guyo was trying to sleep was he flubbed a removal of a cbm and reduced all his hp bars to a red / and 207 pain. he also had to fight a zombie in that condition but it still wasn’t a match for him, so afterwards he applied enough bandages to make a mummy jealous, somehow through his light power armor, and drove off. he found an ice labs but promptly left, then had a spat with a few migos that stole his awl pike, so he went to his front seat storage to pull out a katana to chase them down, and violently killed the one with his pike and drove off, reequipping his awl pike, and found his second lab in the middle of the night… when he entered he heard a loud RUN from the north, followed by several explosions from the north, so he investigats and finds aroom with a bunch of dead robots and in the center he found 1 quantam solar panel, plutonium cell(5), and 35 mininukes… yes literally 35 mininukes i counted.
So, Mr. Solomon Cotton recently charged a fungal bloom with a low end cube van, a blunderbuss with 16 homemade shells of sawn copper tubing, and three large gunpowder charges. Besides that, he had his trusty gas mask, a bit of royal jelly, and a survivor duster to ward off the defenses. Well, he fought valiantly, but was ultimately beaten back into his power station and had to use up the last of his morphine to defend himself against the coyotes that plagued his poor 78 pain self.
How did you get your ass kicked by a fungal bloom? I didn’t even realise that the fungus tries to fight back, outside of maybe the tower spawn specifically.
Ah another Blunderbussbuddy :3 what do you use? Slugs, shot or flechette? I am currently crafting hundreds of shot for the fungal tower to the north. And 2 dynamites for the spire.
That is overkill, you only need the two dynamite. Seriously, you are underestimating dynamite.

More like overestimating the spire o_o’
It takes one stick of dynamite to kill a tank drone.
Just started a bad day scenario character for the first time, got very lucky too. Day 6 have a working RV, shotgun, pistol, learnt karate using punch daggers to mess up everything I see fit. Could be a good character.
Got to say Base 12 all round stats are awesome.
Bad day scenarios ftw
I felt that I ought to describe my world a bit more. I live in an evac shelter close to a woods, in a world with 91 day seasons, 1.4 spawn rate (with Slow Zombies) and 1.05 item spawn (a good combo). I wield a quarterstaff currently. My character has no gun (plenty of ammo and guns, but no compatible currently) and a shopping cart. Now he has a steel frame and a welding torch (from a garage), however, he will now make a solar-powered fridge to store his perishable food and add pedals and a seat to his shopping cart.
His town (huge) is to the west - he has not explored many of the houses yet because of his attempts to fight to other locations (e.g. the garage.) He has a large stock of perishables, but mostly drinks herbal tea to combat the junk food and prevent another cold. He has a lot of explosives (from crates) and a power armour hauling frame (ditto). He wears protective gloves, steel toe-capped boots, survivor trenchcoat, survivor helmet, survivor cargo pants and other non-armour clothing, including a survivor tool belt, so he can have tools wherever he goes.
He now takes very little damage, and that which he does (always a surprise) is quickly slept off. He has a stock of gun books and has proved himself capable of meleeing brutes. It is day 10 or 11. He is on his way!
You may need to use a folding seat (item required: sheet) in order to get a seat on the same tile as a shopping cart basket. This is probably a bug/oversight (being able to put a seat and shopping cart basket on the same tile at all, I mean).

While looting a group of houses, my blackbelt got into a fight with a relatively large group of zombies. While fighting them, he took a nasty bite wound on his arm. I thought I was finished (because there were no useful medical supplies in any of the houses I was looting and there’s no pharmacies visible on the map).
But then, as if the game was having mercy me, I found a bottle of disinfectant on one the dead zombie corpses!
Best day ever. And then a moose who thought he was hot shit decided to attack me while I was traveling back to base. I now have a moose pelt and a lot of meat.

Thanks!
I found To Serve Man in a survivor house. I read it. My character did NOT like it.

Can the saddle use any belts?
Set fire to the fungal spire (yo). And just when everything but the central part was burning, a Drizzle put out the fire. Perfect! I walked through the ashes and threw my dynamite on the spire but it spawned walls so quickly the explosive wasnt right on the centre tile. Fortunately I had 2 sticks. Chugging some antifungal drug I drove off to visit the refugee center south of the city, leveling my shotgun skills on my way. Once it’s about 5/6 (and marksmanship too) I will return to my trusty blunderbuss. I can’t hit shit with it atm.
I did the clean up quest for the center. The target zombie chased after a squirrel and I had to hunt it down.
The next mission was ,as expected, to find out what happened to the lost caravan. I had to travel across the world to find the bandits. On my way there was a military road block. The turrets shot each othet m( then it got overrun by giant ants. Unfortunately no good loot for me. The bandits were tough, though. I have unarmed on 11 already but getting near them was hard. The leader had a USP45 and the others piperifles 22. And 9mm. I hid in the woods to lure them but the surrounding wildlife seemed more interesting to them (I love the infighting but sentient beings at least should have their priorities ) At least they got seperated and I hunted them down one by one with My shotgun revolver and buckshot.
On my way back I found an LMOE with tons of ammo and 2 of those modular rifles (carbine and salt). I disassembled all of it but the rifle cartridges for my blundrtbuss ammo :3 One day I will kill a hulk with my Donnerbüchse.
Well boy do I have a lot of things to talk about.
gonna spoiler it because, well, aint gonna be short.
