Well boy do I have a lot of things to talk about.
gonna spoiler it because, well, aint gonna be short.
start as home mechanic, usual character
start out well, gear self up at a Surplus store, when out, find working car with gasoline
get to hardware store, raid it, rush to garage, gas runs out once I entered it, lel
mad max my car by ripping out all the seats and installing a 5.74L V8 in it
search house near garage, find food and a fucking bottle of mutagen
all excited, gulp it down
you gained the Carnivore trait!
your trait Fast Metabolism turned into Very Fast Metabolism!
acquire gasoline, get in car, gtfo of garage
raid gun shops, find a shitton of guns and ammo as well as books about funs and some accessories
get to another garage
APC is sitting there, needing only repaired controls to go but had an M2 with 270 rounds of .50 in it
rip controls out of my car, fix APC, get it back in
work for days and nights getting APC right
make super suburbased
raid house near (which was right next to a gunshop I raided already
find a shitton of guns, including an AR15, a M14 and two fucking FALs
continue raiding shit and planning to get out to gather more stuff soon
best fucking run I had ever
tfw reinforced gear
tfw stronk as fuck in melee
tfw the /k/ube smiled upon thee
tfw have a kickass car
Too bad you can’t eat guns, and you’re doomed to starve. Now go, go be a true /k/ommando and make Hotwheels proud.
I’ve been able to survive pretty well, feeding off the stock of TV dinners and burritos from the grocery strore as well as eggs.
But I’ve been drinking the 12 bottles of water faster than I thought I would.
So I was looting a town, smashing corpses near the R MSRV (Newest vehicle, it’s like the one I posted to the Vehicles thread, but slightly larger with room for all my shit. Never realized how much I used floor-trunks until I started using wired lights-- also those use a shitton of power…) when all the sudden I spot a hulk that’s rapidly closing the distance between me and it.
Manual-Fire turrets are insanely useful, as is the remote vehicle control bionic. Gotta say it was oddly satisfying to click it on, tell a handful of turrets to blow away the hulk, and have it work.
It’s impossible for me to keep up with all the empty cans, plastic bags and candy wrappers that invariably end up at the bottom of every truck of my car…
going to get gasoline for Super Suburbased
driving around, feeling invincible
suddenly Flaming Eye zaps my control from far away
Fo srs now
also do the flaming eye’s zaps do anything to the player or?

Flaming eye’s beams of light seem to have a chance of giving you teleglow, which has a variety of effects.
I got a fungal infection and had fungal tentacles rap my arms off. Was able to survive 5 days of the infection, though. I mutated the strong trait, at least! You should probably take some anti-fungal medicine or something just in case you got a fungal infection.

Seems like I got teleglow, cant stop teleportin’
on a side note, the flaming eye got royally rekt by a zombie when I went to repair the Suburbased. Noice/10

Yeah, I got zapped out of my vehicle once. Since then I keep a loaded pistol on me, now I can wear said pistol. Never needed it but I lost an ubertruck that time, so I’d rather not need it and have it, than need it and not have it in this case.
got back to truck after failing to find any anti-fungal in the doc’s office
open refrigerator to eat a bit
see royal jelly
I4m stupid for flipping out and running around like a chicken with no head.
Well, I replaced the Pedalo Box’s (shopping cart’s) basket with a 650 storage trunk. Now I’m getting somewhere! I have also made heavy survivor gloves. To my surprise, I saw TWO Mi-Gos in the south of a housing division, surrounded by drug corpses. I am collecting lumps of steel for an anvil to make a zweihandler now.
After the evacuations… My guy, Private Palmer Winn was ordered to BURN THE LIVING SHIT OUT THE HOSPITAL AND TOWN.
(I used DEBUG for ammo, skills, and a flamethrower, nothing else…)
Oh, and with Wandering Spawns. I was forced into a war of attrition.
Rolled a new character with no skills, in a world with an item spawn factor of .05, a town size of 1, and a 90 day season.
Only a few days in so far, but I’ve got a temporary improvised shelter set up until I can relocate to somewhere with a solid water source. Full stone tool set built so far, so once I find a reasonable place to settle (on water, near a forest, with accessible salt water) I’ll start working on my very own log cabin.
So, with the death of its latest owner (Dana Palmeretta), The Mothership XL has been inherited by her successor - Royce McConnelly. The unfortunate Miss Palmeretta was caught off-guard when the milspec and anti-matter turrets outside the dojo she was raiding decided to shoot clean through the doors and obliterated her skull and chest. Mr. McConnelly, a fellow survivor of what has been dubbed ‘Shelter 001’, (Seriously, five characters have all spawned at this same one shelter.) immediately ran out to retrieve her body and belongings for proper disposal at the shelter.
He then spent the next week doing nothing but pounding the books and getting his skills up as high as he could. Also, making pizzas. Lots of pizzas. He’s a bit miffed that he cannot seem to find any pepperoni in the wasteland… but he’s learned how to make his own, sort’ve… so that’s something. He also installed four more (15 in total now) solar panels and the new Large Electric Motor on the beast, so now even when the gas runs out he can keep the fridge and interior lights running forever without having to worry about the engine eating up all the power…
Kyla Sands update. It’s day 11 of winter. She went south out of town, saw a big office tower. Knocked two zeds with throwing axes (out of arrows, alas), only to see an electric scooter. Attempt to start it under cover of falling dusk, it dies immediately. The girl resorts to dragging it all the way back to her new base (across the street from the garage with the working car). Time to put some solar panels on the scooter and wait for them to charge.
