What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

I’M KEEPING THOSE CABINETS INTACT FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE.
Boooooooooooooooooo! Balls to the brighter future, Dredd shall encase New England in his SILKY WEBS! FEAR HIM!

The thing is he has furry chitin, so he must not look very scary with his top hat and monocle on as well… uh… TRY AND FEAR HIM? PLEASE?

Holy shit
My insect god hasn’t slept in days, even when under the effects of Thorazine. Maybe it has something to do with the all-soda diet. :stuck_out_tongue:

He isn’t even tired, either.
Sleep is for losers anyway. As an Arachnid I have to spin myself a web to sleep in which is pretty annoying, so I just end up guzzling caffeine pills. Nomnomnomnom!

Before I pruned it, my save was several gigabytes.

I pruned it twice.

Also, this is Marloss Man Reborn’s second world, the other one got too big. This is what happens when you travel constantly.

Oh Marloss Man, you and your unstoppable rampages throughout the world.

NPCs still have brain explosions, it seems. They probably can’t handle seeing such a horrifying abomination sexy mutant like me.

Every time someone writes something about cute/ugly mutants, I always think about her him them: Saya :>

D’aww, cute! Not sure about the thing on the right of the mirror though.

Ah, a fellow Whovian!

I have to say, I remember that episode like it was yesterday… I even remember the title of it ‘Runaway Bride’.

Right when Donna Nobel (Catherine Tate) Materialize inside the TARDIS with Huon particles (Which Powers the TARDIS) he notices her and does which I find quiet amusing… And, If you’re not a Whovian; I don’t really care. It’s good to see some Doctor Who related stuff now and again…

I do like me a bit of Doctor Who, although I haven’t really been up to date with it recently. David Tennant really was the best, not sure if anyone can possibly be a better doctor in the future.

Next step: A 55 gallon drum.

I find Matt Smith is better but, It’s you’re own opinion Jakers. And I have to say the past few episodes of Doctor who with Peter Capaldi were good but, I found Season 8 as a whole was quiet short. And a pity that Season 9 won’t come until January 7th (Even though it’s a week it still feels like a Month, Or a Year). Also, the Christmas special. In my Opinion was quiet amazing, And a bit of a Quiet Fucking Weird… now and again. I won’t spoil it (Even though you might of already seen it).

Also, Happy New Years!

Managed to corner a Shoggoth in a 1-tile-wide dead-end hallway and using it for a punching bag to train unarmed. The stuns with Brawling are just glorious for that.

For those of you wondering, or who can’t view PNGs because I used a PNG without thinking, two Motels generated perfectly and right next to eachother.
Interestingly the odds of it happening are roughly the same as the odds of there being a motel in the first place. Probability is fun.
Actually not completely true. It depends on when you are calculating the probability of this happening. The probability of 2 independent events happening one after the other or at the same time is the probability of the first event multiplied by the probability of the second event.

If the first event has already happened and is in the past, the probability of event 2 happening is NOT multiplied by event 1.

For example: What are the odds of me flipping a coin twice and getting heads both times? 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/4.

Example 2: I flipped a coin and the results are heads. What is the probability of the second flip being heads as well? 1/2.

Perhaps the way I said it is a bit misleading. What I meant was that the odds of having a second hotel adjacent to any hotel you find, are the same as the odds of having found the first hotel in the first place. So if 1 in every 1000 tiles is a hotel, then about 1 in every 1000 hotels you find will have a twin right next to it. (Well, actually it’d be more like 1 in 125 if you allow for all 8 adjacent tiles.)

But, it is really quite rare. I don’t think that can happen with most other features because they seem to have building guidelines that would prevent that. Labs for example all seem to have roads leading to them, and the roads always seem to be empty of vehicles. Also the underground areas overlapping would likely cause problems as well, so I’d guess there is a 5 tile radius or so area that must be maintained between labs.

Well if the chance of a tile being a motel is 1 in 1000 then the chance for a second motel directly linked to the first would be more like 1 in 166,6… . As there are 8 tiles directly linked to the motel 2 of which are road and this are not going to spawn a motel.(there could still be a motel on the other side of the road tough)
