I wish I could manage to get to that point.
The new world I made this week apparently only has two evac shelters, and I’ve spawned in both, and died many a time.
I had managed to acquire a sledgehammer which i reinforced. Having a now 38 Bash weapon with 13 strength i was now confident i could bash through bank doors.
When i arrives, i attempted a hack for the heck of it and? Succeeded on the first attempt. Not bad. I strolled in and was faced with a bunch of locked safes (and a power armor and a laser gun i had no ammo for).
Needless to say, i needed no buffs to smash my way into the safes (to my surprise, honestly). I now have Probability travel, Infravision, and teleportation CBMs.

Why be some random amalgamation of genetic defects and mutations when you can become a bionic death machine. I mean if you are going to transcend your human from would you rather spin the wheel of (mis)fortune and hope you won’t get the consolation prize(or one of the death prizes, extreme metabolism or extremely thirsty) or upgrade using items that you are sure of what they are going to do?

A little target mutagen helps a long way with that
Besides, just because you’re not human doesn’t mean you can’t use bionics… I tend to install my share of bionics XD
