Nope. Mycus doesn’t appreciate big red spider-lizard critters and would wreck your insides. 
Finally managed to escape a lab however the other 20+ trapped survivors and unwilling volunteers weren’t as lucky, one of their teleporters was though. Now I’m trapped. I’m very hungry. It’s Spring Day 2 and it’s a blizzard. I’m very cold! Top part of lab is my base. I’m surrounded by forests. To the north is a mansion and a hostile NPC with M1911 between it (loadscummed and now I’m screwed) , to the south is more forest, to the immediate east (like across the street) are four spitters hiding behind trees, to the south west is a hazardous waste sarcophagus. I have ammo but no weapons besides a makeshift crowbar and an EMP Grenade and my only defense is a laser turret…it’s 4:43A.M
I’m thinking of aggroing said spitters and starting a massive fire to kill them fast and get some crafting in. Forgot to mention there are other random NPCs who want to chat in the area but eating mutated limbs gave me Snarling Voice so that’s a nono, at least got Phelloderm from it too.

I’m still running an older version, my ‘fix’ for spider still results in a lot of back and forth on mutations. I was gonna do lizard this playthrough, but I was waiting for summer so that I didn’t have to pick a national forest clean to get 60 reptile eggs. Just kinda found the gelatin too, so we’ll see what happens.
I like the tilesets but nothing beats the good ole fashion cataclysm fire, it screams, fire!

it would be cool if it was part of the lore why there are these schools that are full of weird stuff, like the nearby labs were using them for tests or something, well that would kinda explain why you can find a varying degree of drugs on some of the corpses of students.

I’ve barely started exploring this city, and I have encountered a total of 2 shocker brutes and a bio-operator, and it’s only day 2! But luckily, I have guns!
EDIT: It still wants to kill me, evidenced by a random fire in a spider basement that I didn’t start.

It’s the first time I’ve properly explored a mall, and so far I’ve acquired 160 zombie kills with my trusty switchblade; I’ve barely explored all of the mall, too! I wonder how many zombies are around…
I must say, the mall is one of the most fun encounters I’ve done so far. Slicing through an alleyway of brainless morons has never been more fun! Good job to whoever designed that, now it’s time for me to get loot galore! And shit tons of kills!
I remember my first mall. I actually ran out of arrows at one point. It was amazing.
Welp, I was having a great time slashing zombies guts into neat little piles with my switchblade, but then something within the mall exploded, causing a huge fire which I’m currently running for my life from.
I’ve been encased in rubble countless times from the falling ceiling, the smoke is starting to catch me and soon the fire will catch up if I don’t escape. There’s also a horde of around one hundred zombies outside.
Needless to say, I’ve been in better situations. Let’s just hope Dredd can speed through the rubble and lockpick that door open again before I die a fiery, smoky death.
On the bright side, THIS IS FUN!
EDIT: Nope didn’t make it. The ceiling collapsed on me four times and I was trapped to die a slow and painful death. Whelp, that’s just RNG bad luck I guess! TIME FOR A NEW WORLD.
Still doing awesome, decided that since I have a glut of 9mm ammunition to just go level up my handgun skills a bit. If things get rough I still have my reinforced kukri, with which I tear apart anything that gets near me. I should probably be carrying my .44 Redhawk(I lost my Desert Eagle somewhere) in case of brutes, but running and hiding seems to work well enough still. I still can’t seem to find a vehicle that runs unfortunately, but I did drag a shopping cart with me back from a nearby town to loot whole houses at a time. Trying to only play in short bursts so I don’t get cocky, but I have an evac shelter stuffed full of an amazing amount of crap and a fireplace, I seem to not be having any luck finding higher level books thus far though.
Mostly I want a vehicle so I can explore a bit more, but shooting the hell out of zombies is still fun.
