What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

OH WAIT

I’M A WALKING MUSHROOM

On closer examination it seems that it only tries to attack me when I get close enough for it to use its flamethrower. But I’m fireproof, so who cares.
This is one of the reasons why the walking mushrooms shall inherit the earth. xD
Or the slithery Lizards, or scurrying Survivors, and so on. Alphas are pretty screwed though.
So animal mutations make you pretty much immune to tank drone surprise attack? Neat.

Learn something every day.

EDIT: Or at least, I assume passing the thresh hold does.

My new char started in an remote LMoe shelter and became a spear wielder. I will definitely play with spears more often. Notrh west of my shelter there was a “tear in reality” and flaming eyes were ripping the whole forest apart. To the east behind another wood where 2 small villages. One had a garage and a gun shop, the other one was uninteresting. The forest between had a FEMA camp hidden inside and I salvaged a good amount of stuff. I was doing well temperature wise but the deep winter followed and I had no books to read or complex things to craft, so I decided to grab another rucksack, stuffed everything inside and went southwards.
The icey cold made my hands frost nipped. I started a fire for warmth and the pain ensued. I had light bones and high night vision mutations from the flaming eyes btw. And sometimes randomly teleported away.
Anyway i was sitting at the campfire and dropped some stuff because all the ammo was too heavy with 40 pain.
Suddenly zombear. I walked too far away from my guns. My steel spear didn’t do it unfortunately due to rising pain level. Rip.
I shouldn’t have left my cosy shelter but it was too boring there :frowning:

Have you met any skeletons with that character?

Man, loads of NPCs down here. Mostly I’ve been asking them if they “want to come with me” and then herding them into a storage room in the lab that’s controlled by a gate.

LOTS OF FUCKING NPCs FOR A SEALED LAB.

Installed Power Storage CBM and Recycler Unit. I think my old farm base has one or two left. No Battery Systems seen yet.

One of the houses in the south-eastern portion of town (to which I take a detour due to shocker zombies) has a safe in a basement, cue search for stethoscope in the future.

Day 1 of autumn, Kyla Sands discovers that the thoroughly looted house right next to her current basement base (into which she moved late Spring), has a basement. LOL. The stairs were under an oven. (Default season length btw)

It’s now day 3 of autumn, and I’ve made a makeshift welder but have no batteries yet.

EDIT: Someone stored nails in a fridge lol.

Kill count 600.

i killed 4 zombies with a bullet.

i wielded it by accident and didn’t notice. Though i suspected something when it took a long time to put them down.

The latest in our genetically superior line of synthetically grown human subjects, X-30 shows great promise in early field trials. Giving her nothing but our GenCorp brand of basic mutations and an unwavering desire to murder things, our spy satellites have detected that she’s already discovered several mansions and other resources.

Currently, X-30 has equipped herself with not one, but three genuine antique katanas, a wakizashi, and an abandoned military humvee. Early tests of our GF-642 subconscious training program have achieved remarkable results, with X-30 destroying large numbers of infected subjects using only her fists and feet before finding the bladed weapons.

Hopefully Experiment 30 will continue to be less of a failure than her 29 predecessors.
Report 2, Office of Omnihuman Research

SUBJECT: EXP-30
RE: FINAL FIELD TRIAL
TOTAL LENGTH OF EXPERIMENT B: 3 Weeks, 2 Days
TERMINATION RATE: 1:840
STATUS: DECEASED
KILLED BY: Tank drone

FIELD NOTES: Subject had heavily fortified a military Humvee and came upon a Rivtech-series automated heavy combat tank drone. As depicted in the attached video, X-30 first is fired upon by the Tank Drone’s 120mm cannon, which blasts pieces out of her Humvee and sends her retreating. Next, she exits the vehicle and begins firing on the Drone with a Soviet-issue marksman’s rifle. The Drone advanced with remarkable speed and X-30 was caught in a hail of heavy artillery shells and terminated.

RESULT: Begin warming up X-31 and reset all testing parameters.

Autumn, day 84. Pre cataclysm it would be holiday time, but now i relentlessly labor every day, building up my dream base.

Nevertheless, wearing stylish sunglasses, tie, tie clip, dress shoes, dress shirt, two earplugs, leather collar, tricorne and fuzzy cat tail make me constantly ecstatic.

I think i have my priorities straight. Who cares the world has ended, whats important is that i look good.

Why is your melee 3 in the second shot when it was 7 in the first?

Tank drones are (were??) clearly marked as Northrup Grumman, not Rivtech. They predate DDA, just hadn’t been updated to take advantage of the new code, weren’t spawning, and truth be told were pretty crap before.

Rivtech would probably gotten the programming right first try ~

So I got electronics lvl 7, 1500 power and a few bionics. Not, enough. D:<

I decided to head to a town to the north in search of an ATM machine, I had about 110 cash cards with money on them and I seriously needed to get all that money on one card. So I did. After fighting 3 shocker brutes, 3 brutes, countless other zombies and nearly dying a few times. I’d say it wasn’t worth it.

I found a car in perfect condition in a garage (which I later wrecked) a few bionics and more acetylene torches for robot disassembling. I saw a Hulk for the first time in quite awhile. Judging by the trouble I have with brutes I don’t think I’m ready for hulks. Soon. Soon.

I went on back to my base (and heavily damaged my vehicle on the way) and finally got home. Back to robot hunting.

Oi! Question, is it possible to disassemble something your not holding? Its quite annoying to deal with the dozens of “Ouch your hurt!” messages xD.

Set it on the ground and attempt to butcher it

Afaik you can just stand on the same tile as the object you want to take apart, and then use B to “butcher” the item.

Is there a secret cult for double answering questions and i am just not cool enough to be a member?

What gets me is this happens even if the sock misses. Like they see a sock whiz past their face and totally flip their shit I MUST SHOOT YOU IN THE FACE NOW.

On a related note, an NPC shot a neutral tank drone and the drone decided to shoot me. I survived though. The NPC killed the tank drone, then promptly ran into a burning building to get a flaming two by four. Well OK then.

I love my friend due to her badass ninja skills, her spear must’ve killed hundred of zeds by now.
But she’s a huge stoner, if I smoke a blunt she’ll rant about it for hours.

Like… god DAMN it Herrith!

Love it LMAO!

Holy crap, there is like a dozen eyebots around my robot dissembling base. xD most of which are in groups of 2. This should be very interesting.

Ok there’s more then a dozen. Here’s some advice. Don’t go setting the alarms off buildings a bunch of times at once. xD

I’ll probably be fine as long as I take them on in small groups at a time. Probably. depends on how lucky I get.

edit: OH CRAP. THERE"S MORE OF THEM. the eyebots are multipling. D: ABANDON BASE ABANDON BASE! there’s probably almost 3 dozen xD
edit again: There’s no hope. the eyebot invasion is absolute. I strike down 3, 4 swoop down. D: I’m DOOOOOOOMED!

It never ends. Zombies? they are hardly my concern THEY KEEP COMING

edit 3 the editing: I now use the subways to get in and out of the thick part of the eyebot zone. I think I’m pushing them back but I can’t be sure. :c
I had the great realization. I have a directional EMP bionic. Life just got slightly easier.
