What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

Never using flare rounds inside again.
Fire goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood

I kind of want to add a flare revolver to my “Mad Engineer” pack, just for shiggles.

I feel so good after finding that flare gun actually made it in.

It’s so fun to run around at insanely low FPS because everything is on fire.

I always carry a flare gun. I use it to set triffid queens on fire, which is the most satisfying shit ever.

I love blasting crowds of fungus with chain lightning…

Kyla Sands went east in the town (there’s a shocker brute to the south-west and a suspected mi-go in the south), only to find a large group of normal zeds smashing a solar car to pieces. Aww, there went the car.

Looted two or three houses, went down into the basement to sleep, read some books & magazines.

I suppose I’ll wait until dark and take a stab at killing those zeds. Katana and ceramic plated MBR and chitine gauntlets. I should be pretty safe, plus I carry a disinfectant and bandages on my person all the time.

Day 8, summer, year 1. Kill count 551.

INDEED INDEED! SUCH A FOOLISH DEED.

Snow “Meow” (first hit randomly generated name) the Frail Albino Maid just finished clearing out a mall in the most gracefully, eloquently way possible. With a rapier. Just to rub it in the dead-zed’s faces she carved “Bite Me” into her apparently cleavage-inducing body suit.

BUT YOU BURN SO BEAUTIFULLY. SO DO THE PLANTS. AND THE ANTS MAKE SUCH A DELICIOUS CRUNCH.

I finally found an use for the thousands of rags lying around my base.

Cargo carriers. Each one needs 800 rags to make from scratch. (and about 3 days or so)

Maybe it doesn t work.
Quick test starting at 5.0 spawn rate, looking around in a town, then changing to 50.0 and teleporting until finding another city 1’18 to east. The number of zombies surely increase, but less than i expected. 483 zombies around in 5.0, 1930 in 50.0. Can’t conclude anything without more testing or checking the code, but don’t have time now :/
Are you on dynamic spawn? Dynamic is 1. broken, and 2. not affected by the spawn rate option.

I’m still swimming through a ocean of corpses, beheading zombies right and left, and from time to time, opening up my chest to unleash a steady steam of pure thunders onto the incoming hoards.

There’s not enough zombies.

I haven’t even came close to death, and I started out on Really bad day.

Bring on the pain. Send more zombies. MORE, send them all.
Check out a mall, it might have what you’re looking for. (on SALE!)

The walls of my Base are nearly complete! the outside walls anyway, I just need 112 more logs and the walls will be complete. Then I’ll just have to get enough logs and heavy sticks to make all the walls on the inside and the ROOF. (The base covers a 3x3 are on the map)

I am back!

Playing as a gangsta with myopia on the latest stable. Min-maxed out the wazoo, but starting on the ‘Missed’ scenario, in a regular house, so it kinda balances out.

Managed to break out into a run and sprinted out of the tiny town I started in, until I found a farm. Fortified it slightly with some pits and some spiked pits. To the north was an LMOE shelter, but I decided I would only take a little bit of loot, and return to my farm for safety

I don’t know whether that was a mistake or not … but the next day a MASSIVE swarm of zombies moved between the farm and the LMOE shelter. So many that when they were spawning, they were landing on top of each other and making the game complain, sometimes 3 or 4 times a tick!

I couldn’t fight through them so for the next two days, I was making slow progress north, while watching another horde move from the east from a nearby city.

By day 5, I had nearly broke through to the LMOE shelter, when the horde from the east suddenly darted west while I was harassing the northern zombies positions. I was surrounded, and was forced to run through them, aggroing all of them. I found myself in my farm, with nowhere else to go, but to fight the zombie hordes with nothing more than a wood axe, a glock (with tons of ammo), and a ring of pits.

2 hours later, it was over. Over 100 zombies, including a necromancer, 2 brutes, and 2 shockers assaulted my position. It was sketchy at times, but I ended victorious. My spiked pits all ended up breaking, and I had 15 pain, and had been at 10 focus for the past half-hour. But I was victorious. I also looted a bag of 8 dried bean servings from one of the re-dead. So I decided to celebrate with some vegetarian baked beans! Served up 8 servings.

Failed on 7 of them, losing all the resources.

Dang.

[Edit]Respiked my pits, and tried to go north again. Turns out that there are still dozens of zombies between me and the LMOA shelter, probably 100 or more, and I only killed the edge of the eastern wave, so they are still coming. Managed to aggro another 30-odd zombies, including a HULK. With the same glock, wood axe, and pits, I managed to get the hulk to ‘nearly dead’, before it punched me through a wall, shattering my dresser with my books on it, and I skidded to the ground.

… … …

I got up, and wielding my glock, which had only two bullets left. I charged at the hulk, who was still scrambling to get out of my spiked pit. I focused, aimed my gun …

click.

Misfire. Now the hulk is out of the pit.

BANG … HEADSHOT

The hulk looks … and charges me. One bullet left…

BANG.

THUD

First EVER hulk kill. I usually give them wide berth, and loot other, less guarded, targets. But now I have no-where to go, so I have to continue the fight.[/Edit]
Failed on 7 of them, losing all the resources.

Dang.
Such is life in the Zone Cataclysm

I’m covered in blood. I’m soaked in blood to the soul. To the bones.

Suddenly snapping out of it, I see a massive fist flying toward my face out of the darkness of the night. My body shakes for a instant.

The fist slows down, stopping just millimeters away from my nose. I step backward through the pink mist surrounding me when pulling my sword out of a nearly corpse.

I look around, becoming hungrier with each passing instants. I see oceans of corpses. Oceans of broken bodies. Oceans of burning fleshes. I see a hoard of dead that I must harvest.

I calmly reach into my backpack and pull out an manwich, I chew on it it when stepping over corpses, making my way around the brute zombie that so rudely interrupted my pondering.

I swallow my food then point my sword sideway away from me, bend my knees. With a deafening boom, I jump toward the brute.

Time flows again.

I land onto the road, leaving a 10 feet-long skid mark across the road. Mid-skid, I turn around toward the brute.

The brute punches empty air, its upper body suddenly flying forward off its lower body with jets of rotten blood spraying everywhere.

Eyes. Eyes everywhere. Black and broken teeth flashes at me. The screams of the dead fills the skies.

I drive my sword into the ground and unbutton my trenchcoat, revealing a bare chest with a line running down from my collarbone to my belly button.

A loud clink. The panel on my chest opens, revealing a strange Tesla-like engine. With a loud hum, thunders start flowing around the rings. With a deafening buzz, the thunders flies out of my chest into the hoard.

Night became daytime for a few minutes.

Clink.

The panel closes.

I button up my trechcoat and pull my sword out of the ground. Black smokes block out the moon.

The sun surprised me when I was loading the dead into a cart with the intent of using their flesh to further push myself into godhood. I watch the morning sun for a few moments, remembering my old life.

I grin, I wouldn’t give this up for anything. I’m the strongest there is. I’m an alpha human.

I hear someone calling after me. I turned my head toward the voice, it was a blood-covered woman. She wanted to talk to me. I kept on collecting the dead until she got too close.

I demanded that she drop her gun. Her eyes widens when she saw how big I was. Without a word, she drops her gun, paralyzed with fear.

In a heartbeat, my right hand was around her neck, holding her up off the ground.

CRACK. Laughter.

Strange thing, I entered a mall. It was empty. I thought there was invisible predators waiting for me. I turned on my alert system…

Nothing.

The mall was very quiet.

I burnt it down to the ground without a second thought.

However, on my way back to my base, I came across a megastore. There was easily over 300 zombies in the store!

I wiped the hoard out without taking damage with my chain-lightening, then built a cart out of a nearly wreckage, and started loading up piles upon piles of tainted meat into it to turn into alpha serums.

There’s still not enough zombies. The spawn rate is still too low for me. I want 100 spawn rate.

Edit: Just noticed that I was on dynamic. Turned that off, things should be more fun now.

Finally gonna stop lurking and post for this one.

I was playing a very promising Backpacker with the stats to be a great shooter in the future. Spawned on the border of the woods, a little far from a small town and no other landmarks. I spent the first day crafting basic tools, throwing rocks at various local wildlife and other CCDA classic activities. At night I delved into town for a raid and got a nice gun nut basement in a house which landed me a good rifle and a sidearm, both fully loaded with some ammo to spare.

I then found a perfect condition bike with a wire basket on it. I looted more stuff from the surrounding houses, mainly food and meds, nothing else worth it in the few houses I can reach, there’s a lot of zombies everywhere in the dark and they are persistent. My pockets and the bike are fully loaded, time to ride back to base.

I hit something on the road with my bike and fall. Crates. My favorite kind of roadblock. 2 sets of 4 to be exact. One set loaded with MREs and meds, the other with glorious explosives. About 10 C4, a couple grenades and other varied explody stuff. Thanks you kind RNG. I haul all that booty to my shelter. Time to sleep, only for a bit though. I’m waken up by sounds at my door. I open it and a coyote is there, he instantly lunges me and bites my head for critical damage. I’m left at 2 bars on my head and it’s bleeding hard. I shoot the coyote with my rifle and he explodes, becoming a part of the tasteful interior decoration of the shelter. I fix my bleeding head with a medkit, pop some codeine and go to sleep again.

Woken by the cold early morning. Need warmer clothes and a sleeping bag. Can’t be too brash, my head is dangerously wounded. I wander around on my bike on roads all day, loaded on explosives and looking for a nice lab to crack open later at night. Found nothing, except a surprise Mi-Go who caught up to me on the road and trashed my bike. What a dick. A couple shots from the rifle take care of him. I then smash up the rest of the bike to manually haul the basket back to base. I’m walking on the roads when suddenly I see a Jabberwock. I dive into the forest and lose him luckily.

I’m now back at my base with the basket, safe for now. I’m tired again, that short sleep didn’t do much good. I try to sleep but I can’t, too cold. It’s snowing outside and I’m freezing everywhere. Luckily night is falling so I decide to pop up some caffeine pills and cocaine to take the edge off and go back to looting the town, hoping to find some warm clothes or blankets. I start looting some houses I didn’t touch yet. I’m looting one of these houses and I open a door to the west. Suddenly, the death message appears. No other actions allowed. WHAT ?!

I read the log. The door was directly lined up with a window in the next room. There happened to be a FLAMING EYE there, who proceeded to instantly sear my face off with a direct hit of blazing light. My wounded head couldn’t take it. The rest of my body was also crushed to a pulp by a generous amount of falling debris caused by the flaming eye’s 360 no scope headshot. Instant death in the blink of an eye.

I was cold, but I did not need that much aggressive warmth directly in my brain. Thanks Flaming Eye

WELL PLAYED RNG. WELL PLAYED.

No, dynamic, but done more testing with much more data points and ok, it’s working as intended(and DAMN wanderer outliers .-.)

.-. in all my time playing i never received a direct flaming eye attack. Vehicles? Sure. Buildings? Sure. And i always thought they couldn’t desintegrate living beings. DAMN.

Well, try to reach your old body and shelter with your next character

Slowly preparing my character to another 120’00 quarentine run, and finding out that a speargun is good only as a support weapon, specially above water…
