What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

That bow, especially with metal arrows, is a monster. I’ve just found my first fusion blaster arm, though, so I’ve abandoned my bow for fists and fusion.
I think it’s what you’re eating.

YOU ARE DRINKING SUGARED WATER AND EATING SWEET POPTARTS.
THEY’RE BLUEBERRY POP TARTS THEY HAVE BLUE STUFF IN THEM

BLUE IS A FRUIT

THAT MAKES THEM HEALTHY

I’M AMERICAN CAN YOU TELL

also I was taking vitamins and guzzling fruit smoothies pretty much every day

As far as I can tell, taking vitamins on the regular will outweigh all but the most impressive junk food binges (vitamins are +50 healthmod, most junk food is -1). So your health is probably fine - it’s just that it doesn’t actually prevent you from getting sick.

If you have some cough medicine, it should let you sleep - while under its effects, you don’t cough at all. Take once before bed, then repeat as necessary if it wears off before you get enough sleep.

Raided a hospital, and found SO MUCH candy. (About 500 volume, not counting the candy that doesn’t take up space.) I think I’m good on food for now.

What’s a good place to fortify? I’m going to be entering a new map area soon, and I want to set off my flashbang generator a few times and sit safe in my fort while thousands of zombies mill around outside.

I hear the stone walls of the churchs are nigh impenetrable.

I usually hole up in Fire stations. They don’t have a backdoor though.
You can probably make one though.

Fire stations are perfect as they are, don’t mess with them. Except you might want to add a well.

A church is too small and I can’t find a cathedral or a fire station.

sewage plant, i lived in one for realy long time just baricade front door and do not use it
good storage i stored my stuff where are oryginaly barrels on upper floor (but if living near fungaloids better place your stuff underground)
computer give pernament light for crafting until getting a high night vision
with some modifications it can be realy nice garage for creating small cars

If you see any of those irradiated wanderers snoop around the sewers…

Failing that? You could mine down into a strange temple/fault line. Fortify a two story motel or use all those busted vehicles heaped in the road to quickly construct metal walls to cut off whole sections of town.

Coolest option though? Use the new bridge system to make a dock and park your obscenely large vehicle on an artificial island.

I’ve got a few areas that look promising.

 1. science lab x2
 2. office tower
 3. fema camp
 4. farm
 5. bunker x2

I don’t think I can get to the office tower without alerting the hordes. I’m thinking of the farm, even though I’ll just be fortifying the buildings and not the plants. Who needs plants when you are Mycus? My problem is, is there a 9x13 space to put the Solar Roller VI? I guess I could cut off the ram and make it 7x10, but I’d rather not.

LOGRINJA’ED: There is a two-story motel nearby, but I think that will be more trouble than it’s worth. Yes, I would have a huge area, but I’d have to wall off a lot of area. There is a tiny lake nearby, but water is no stop to zombies. Plus, It would take way too long and I’d have to go foraging for metal, wood, and plastic.

fema camp and bunter are best what you have
farm is good too just rebuild it little and it will fit your solar roller
lab enterance is nice but its boring and sometimes you can wake up with army of indestructable (only telefraging) blobs (do not try disector this will make things worse) at least this happen to me 1 time

Technically you’d only have to fortify the stairs that lead up to the second story. From their you could work on busting out the walls that divide each of the motel rooms, break down the furniture to make new defenses etc. Heck, you could even mine down to the first floor from the second and seal off the windows and doors. From there you could use wood, barbed wire or rocks to wall off more and more as you need it. Plus if you’re mining out a basement for rocks…it’s two birds with one stone!

…But I want to watch the zombies mill around…

Something I did attracted the hordes, so I went back into the last map square. I drove pretty far before coming to a bridge to cross a river. Now I’m on the other side of the river, next to a military outpost, trying to sleep. Tomorrow I’ll fortify a different farm, one that isn’t half-overrun with zombies.

Finally got my first ever survivor that I would call successful. Surviving 25 days, (91 day seasons) and counting, I also created my first ever vehicle with him. After clearing out a second city, he’s currently in the SNV (Solar Nomadic Vehicle) training up his first-aid and electronics to install (and remove a) bionics.

Started a new survivor after my last one crashed into a gas station. This guy has the “very thirsty” trait or whatever its called. Ho man… i need a hotplate or a fireplace or anything asap… a kitchen unit in a vehicle with solars would be awesome, but that requires leveling up in mechanics. Anyone know how to level it up from 0 without a book? I’ve already checked all the buildings im surrounded by.

Solder irons. They’re like sewing kits, but for plastic/metal objects. Since they use the mechanics skill, it can be used to up mechanics.

Trying to reinforce things like safety glasses over and over can get your mechanics to 1 in a snap.

Kill a lots of zombies and monsters xD my chara, with a zweihander, kill everything that he find xD
is the classical “Search and destroy” XD

Day 3 summer, Kyla Sands (the naturalist) is still holed up in NW portion of town. Read up on some books, especially What’s a Transistor, scouted out a bit, only to find a shocker brute is in the way to SW portion, and NE is off-limits due to a large number of blobs and a slime pit.

Still haven’t had time to go back to the farm and pick up stuff nor to pick up guns from LMOE shelter basement. Going to either of those is pretty far and involves avoiding mi-gos.

Luckily I have a katana. Gonna cut some zeds to pieces and then take on those pesky underworld inhabitants.
