What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

Fighting zombies with a trusted broadsword, searching welding googles to fix and improve a car and being scared of shocker zombies and very scared of shocker brutes, and EVEN more scared of someday, find where someone created that electric death bringers…

My Squad of survivors found a lemming wandering around inside our mansion base.

The ensuing firefight left 2 dead and several wounded.

That made my day.

Character got influenza, likely because of my Weak Stomach. Been staying in for almost a week now, only eating, readying, taking cough medicine and sleeping. Luckily I (probably) have enough food to last me. How long does influenza last?

It lasts at least 8 days iirc.
But yeah it sux.
Eat, drink, sleep. Repeat.

Previous guy was stabbed to death with a soldering iron, in hindsight I knew I should of reloaded my gun…it was too exhausted to put up a good fight from spending two days building the log ways to his mini town.

Currently: After leaving the evac shelter in the middle of an open field the surviving ex-officer found a military wreckage and a flare gun among other things which he then used to set a fungal spire five miles to the east on fire. Sadly mother nature decided to rain on his success before the job was finished YET in a stroke of post apocalyptic madness, a raving lunatic wielding a bag of vacuum packed fruit slices came to the fungal spire assault yelling obscenities and threats the entire time. It’s cool, the flare gun is empty. Watching from a safe, no spore clouds distance.

Edit: She killed it and the remaining walls and spores and attempted my character too. Unfortunately Ms. Allison Cox is no more after taking two .45acp rounds to the chest. Ms. Cox also had an unloaded Mac-10 and unused kevlar vest among with various ammo, our ex-police officer now survivor counting his blessings.

Okay now that is funny.

Living in a swamp mansion.
'nuff said.

I walked outside, quickly got frostbite, and then got mauled by a hulk when I took shelter to try and sleep it off.

Not a big fan of the windchill, if I’m to be honest.

Like I said, my base is a mansion, and it has a lot of rooms. Right now I keep all my NPCs in a dinning room adjacent to my room(s). When leading my NPCs around I keep the doors shut so they don’t see my loot. When I set them up in the dinning room they sit still. So long as you keep your stuff out of sight they don’t go for it.

Oic cool, I’ve had stuff stolen out of my closed tent before so I had assumed that NPCs had x-ray vision.

Neat solution!

10 days of zombears is a pain. The RNG really hates me this time, these bears just won’t stop. Bashing my boarded windows like non-stop visits by the Kool Aid man. Down to seven rounds of M1911. Thank baby jesus for melee books.

Edit: Followed by a moose attack. It’s my damn shelter.

I haven’t seen clear weather in days and have largely stopped picking up anything with the word solar in the name. Oh boy, a portable laser turret that functions 10% of the time, what a fabulous treasure. The ten “upgraded” solar panels on my deathmobile have contributed maybe 3% battery power since I laboriously built and installed them. Wish I hadn’t wasted the time.

Day 4 after escaping the lab. Been slowly clearing the zombies bit by bit. Area is finally secure enough that I can venture out in the outskirts during the day to pick over missed bits of loot. Still a bit low on food. I’ve got a lot of non-perishable things,MREs and what not from a military supply store, but I’m not seeing a good way to get food more reliably yet and there’s not a whole lot of game to hunt. I don’t have a good ranged option yet anyways, though I could make a self bow and some sad arrows, I guess.

As it is, my Unwilling Mutant is retreating to a Doctor’s Office pharmacy room and using it as a safe haven. Still have to dodge the Shocker Brutes that are littering the area alongside the Zombie Hulks, but if I can get to the gun shop nearby, I’ll be able to take care of them finally, assuming it doesn’t draw too much attention. xD

My plan is to eventually go back to the Lab I teleported out to and BURN IT ALLLLLLLL. MUAHAA.

Yesterday, I fought three hulks. Not all at once though. I just found them wandering around in towns, no hordes or anything. Weird.

The V29 is treating me well, though. I use it to kill spitters and scientists. Spitters because I hate them and don’t want them to spit on my corpse pile, and scientists because I can’t even kill them with my hands without exploding them.

Today, I found out that I have created my first ever OP character when a hulk hit me multiple times, and it only damaged my neoprene sleeves a little. I have high hopes for for Rhodri Kraakman # 999999999993 (I name all my characters Rhodri Kraakman)

I named all my guys Samuel the roman numeral. Marloss Man’s real name was Samuel LVII (57th).
