What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

Can’t make them, have to find them in Labs and the like I think.
Yeah, they’re a rare Lab Finale find. I’m not averse to letting folks craft 'em (upgrade an advanced panel) with a CVD forge, though–incentive to keep lab-dying.
fixed, you evil person.

PS. seriously, i have cleared lots of labs, but its: “stop paying attention = die” in there.
And after lots of them you sorta stop paying attention…
Also, for some reason in 50% of the labs i find quantum solar panels: i thought they were the most frequent lab finale.

Started up a new world for the first time in months… immediately got beaten to death by an unarmed NPC because I refused to drop the wood axe I found in the basement of the shelter… and he justs sort of appeared in the closed room… maybe turning random NPCs on was a poor decision for my first run after a long break…

I, uh. I found this after applying taekwondo to said raccoon.

Not sure if it’s a bug or the calculation that decides how damaged the corpse is went into the negatives.

Which would also be a bug. Pretty sure I’ve seen a Garage post on this, but thanks for reporting.

You really kicked that 'coon into shape.

Set out with a new survivor, survived my first day killing several zombies and finding a multitude of low level books, then it turned to night and I couldn’t read any of them… And I couldn’t sleep since I wasn’t tired, so I went out for a nighttime stroll, and an NPC asked me to find his buddy and kill a monster…

I took the quest and went off toward a military surplus to hopefully find a gun, I got harassed by another NPC on the way, who made me drop my wooden sword, because apparently he thought my wooden sword was a huge threat to him and his shotgun… I picked it back up after dropping it and started walking away and he winged me once before I got around a corner… he kept pumping bullets into the wall (there may have been a zombie or something there, but I didn’t see it)…

I raided the mil surplus and got a knife, some armor and a book on knife fighting, but I couldn’t read the book since it was still night… then Mr. “I want to murder you, Survivor” decided to charge into the store after he ran out of ammo and fought me wielding a steel crossbow bolt… my wooden sword was far too much for him… then I walked outside and got killed by a bear, the end.

Had that “weird” start next to a river bank and a bridge once again, one that generates several town pieces and a house. Firemen Zs, a Mi-Go with numerous “compliments” tried to drive me away but I found two wrecks and ruled them over barehanded.

The experimental build was generous giving me (my favourites) brass knuckles, a fine share of 1stAids and a dope set of tools. Made a recon run into the next town, just south from the former, and found an RV with busted controls. There were several buildings ment for recreational purposes, a gun store, stuck-filled grocery shops and a couple of Garages. When I really got worked up (to a menacing figure to unarmed and melee) the game started pitching Toughs, Spitters and a choice of Mi-Go encounters riddled with bland loot. Wrapped in some flame-resistant rags and commoner clothing I punched an entire army of the undead into oblivion. Grabbed a welder next night and improved that RV the best I could.

Got another car working, so I could learn to drive without wrecking the shiny van - started raiding some mansions, a farm, made a mess or two in the nearby suburbs and rushed into a FEMA place. Obtained a fair ammo supply, restocked on chems & medicine and continued exploring. Found a Mining Shaft and a Deluxe RV model just lying there; slimed from all that ooze around I didn’t quite see a landmine - blowing up only one glass from the windshield was sheer luck. Found even more ceramic plates for MBR vests in 'copter wrecks.

Guess I’m “to go” with two stacks of Science ID cards. The radiation buzz is slowly driving me crazy, and I’ve found nothing to keep it at bay. As soon as that RV rolls a good one on sunny days I guess storage batteries could get some juice and I’ll be setting off.

signed.

Started a new survivor, walked across town and got chased into a subway by an angry moose… Then I starved to death because the subway is huge and has only one exit…

I killed some inocent person and got a huge moral penalty from it. My Char doesn t even care to fight as is thus i was chased by a wolf for half a day. I couldn t fight back he didn t kill me but everything close like zombie dogs and about 4 npc that wolf murdered. I couldn t attack and he dotched my arrows… i was about to give up when i succeeded in killing him with a stone thrown to the head o_o

When I started playing, moose, zombie dogs, and zombie bears were the bane of my existence, helping to spice up the experience of survival by smashing stuff up. It’s terrifying hearing thumping sounds from a moose that somehow walked through your back door, past your bed when you were asleep, and into the next room.

Now I don’t see anything around my base, which is essentially a house with a vehicle that loops all the way around it with solar panels for the purpose of powering appliances. It probably doesn’t help that I put pits everywhere along the roads; it’s a rare sight to see any wildlife nearby - only rarely do I find a bobcat corpse or two on my caltrops.

Here’s hoping I find a zombie horde eventually and that glassblowing book that I want. All I really have in my area are lots and lots of random NPCs, some of which I have to kill when they steal from my scrap part piles.

Aren’t crates supposed to prevent stealing?

I got myself Diamond Cornea and Close Quarters Battle in a lab. Two down, five to go!

Was digging the new sheltered survivor option. Really loving the option to start in an LMOE shelter. Enjoyed the new name for a zombie moose, antlered horror or something close. Getting mauled by it a couple of steps out of my shelter also brought back memories that I’ve been missing from not playing CCDA for about a week or so.

Just died after 49 days in to a headshot from a hostile npc dealing 126 dmg. rip.

Marloss Man Reborn has survived for two years now! I also noticed I’ve been missing my survivor cargo pants for who knows how long, so I made new ones.

i die! that’s what happens…

i used to live in a house near the river for 2 31-day seasons, living off fishing, raiding libraries for books and cars for spare parts.
then, when i finally read all the books and almost scavenged the whole town of motorbike/car/truck/storage batteries, solar panels and V8/V12 engines and gasoline, i meet a shocker brute…
I had forgotten how to fight, due to the long lull in serious threats, melee’d him with the machette (i have killed them with a nodachi so i thought it doable), after three hits of mine, i’m dead… didn’t saw that coming…

and torso enc was 1, but the pain from getting electrocuted…was…

Small blobs in the experimental split into 2 when killed, so that means you’ll have exponentially reproducing small blobs.

I was hanging out of a cabin window, boiling toilet water when 2 blobs showed up. I scooted back inside the bathroom and they invited themselves in. Soon, 2 became 3, became 6, etc, until the bathroom was so packed that I couldn’t move. The blobs were oozing into the walls and making holes. I could have swung my crowbar around at random for an hour and probably gained 4 melee levels before dying.

Rather than resign to suffocating on slime in a bathroom, I set down some paper and started a fire, which killed 33 blobs instantly. Somehow, a hole in the wall had become vacant, and I took advantage. I got right the hell out of there, but for naught; the burning house ended up killing hundreds of thousands of blobs in a single turn and caused the game to hang.

i am grinding up all my mele skills near blob pit now i have 12 cutting and 14 mele and 3 bashing

hint: explosives kill 'em without the game hanging. If they do multiply however… you can’t get them all…
