What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

Started a new game to test weather changes (in a world genned 3 days ago with z-level mod & boats on).

North? city with mines at entrance (good thing I’ve got 12 PER) and a tough zombie - let’s run awaaay!
West? Forest, ok, then I spot a migo and a kreck - awaaaay!
East? Hospital, so I know it’s gonna be FULL of Zs.
The only thing left is south and I have a bad feeling about this ™

Bionic Prepper, survival 3, day 1, self bow & arrows, but not much more. Not enough skill or equipment to take on that tough zombie north.

I accidentally created a Sho’gath. Oy…

So Faith, the horribly horribly drunk hobo-ess ran around in her little cargo shorts and stocking (she made them herself!) and beat her hallucinations with a cudgel. So of course I’m in town and I see a zombear. Thinking it’s a hallucination, I run up and smack it… 5 times. Of course I freaked out and ran, then I realized something. The zombear wasn’t attacking. Even after smacking him with my cudgel, he stayed on tracking, and even then he kinda just wandered around. He didn’t even follow me.

I of course died of alcohol poisoning(?) that night because how do I hobo.
So I spawned like, 10 map squares from a fungal bloom, but went nowhere near it. I was fine the first day, but the second day I tried to sleep, and started vomiting spores and thick gray goop. I didnt know much about that stuff so I chugged my purifier, and I though that’d help. Then I went to bed and this happened.

Terrifying. So eventually, the fungus growing out of me broke BOTH of my arms, so I couldnt wield things. At some point, I ended up listening to some pumping bass in a bathroom to deny the fact that Im in 1000 pain, my arms are broke, and theres a cougar at the door. My character was pretty happy about it. I ended up tricking the cougar into the bathroom, leaving the bathroom, then locking the cougar into the bathroom and escaping into the city. I died to a grabber zombie because I was trying to get naked so I could run faster. My most terrifying, and funny, Cataclysm run yet.
Awesome! You turned into fungus!

Seriously though, you ended up with a bad case of fungal infection, you either need fungicide or royal jelly for that stuff.

Yah, its kinda annoying.

Made a new character, got a fire axe,did alright, got bored, decided to see what would happen if I set fire to gunpowder.

Apparently setting fire to gunpowder makes your game crash.

For the first time in a long while I’ve been able to find enough supplies to prevent my character from getting frostbite on the first night. I woke up to a thunderstorm the next morning, but I don’t even care. As far as I’m concerned, everything’s coming up Milhouse!

Tried IcedPee’s The Road: Cataclysm DDA Edition challenge idea, made a badass hobo named Von Rushing. He was Terrifying, an Outdoorsman, and a Light Eater, but had an Addictive Personality and Poor Hearing. Well, he started in his 0.01 item spawn rate, 0.5 monster spawn rate world, and immediately watched his bunker-mate get killed by a zombie soldier and cop. Well, they were lured outside, giving Von enough time to grab the NPC’s belongings, namely a single barrel shotgun and a buncha reloaded birdshot. Ran from the zombies to conserve ammo, and holed up in a gas station with a random NPC near it.

So, what’s happening in my world?

Nothing much, except for an NPC spawning with what looks like a bunch of molotovs or a 'nade launcher or something. He proceeded to kill every unbeatable enemy (such as squirrels) by setting as many buildings on fire as possible… All this right next to my base.
He set the buildings accross the street on fire too
NPCs have been spawning with simple flamethrowers a lot recently

NPCs really should be more tactical rather than KILL EVERYTHING in my opinion, perhaps just kill nearby hostile enemies instead of killing everything they can see other than the player…

And holy shit NPCs with flamethrowers, who the fuck thought that was a good idea? That’s like giving a flamethrower to a crazed monkey wanting to kill everything that moves apart from the player!

flamethoer is not too bad imagine npc with incendiary ammo in fungus infested area raging fire everywhere spreading with speed of light i lost a base (and character) because this

Well… I spawn and make a new character, go and check whats in the basement within the evac shelter, and find that there’s a rift underneath rather than a basement, full of lava… and no way back up.

Yeah been there, done that, got the charred t shirt.
Pro-tip: when you attempt to go down stairs and it says something to the effect of “no stairs, just a drop off, go down anyways?” just save yourself the trouble and press No. It’s ALWAYS lava and NEVER anything awesome.

O_o

Or an ant base.

I had to go down a drop like that once to get into a subway as well…

Bloater zombies make me cry when I don’t have a ranged weapon… and now shocker zombies are like WARHARHAR GET A GUN OR I WILL WRECK ALL EARLY GAME CHARACTERS due to the fact you can’t melee them. However harder is funner so YEY

Sure you can melee shockers. Just hit HARD.
