Recovering from infection is pretty shitty. No matter what I do my guy keeps throwing up constatntly.
It doesn’t even make sense because he would eventually run out of food to vomit, unless he is literally vomiting up his fat and muscle reserves he shouldn’t starve to death, yet, it seems inevitable because of this crap.
Luckily I can handle the water situation, but otherwise this is some bullshit right here.
If it’s really bad, you start vomiting like crazy(I overcame an infection, but it was going on for a while). Like I would drink some water, and then vomit 3 times in a row. The vomiting just goes on and on until the infection returns to the “incredibly painful state”
Somehow I managed to survive back to that pain stage. So that’s pretty cool, I guess I just need to pile up more food before I get infected again, and cauterize the fuck out of wounds as soon as they happen. Hopefully I can return my character back to “very hungry” and then go out and hunt down some new stuff.
I am pretty fucking surprised I survived that though.
On the plus side I am very good at tailoring even as I starve to death.
Also I located a vending machine that contained nothing except 1 bag of pretzels. I bought it. First time I’ve ever bought anything from a vending machine.
Then I found another vending machine that contained scrap metal.
Oh heck no. I’m scared of 0.01 spawns.
Though, I wonder what happens with max item spawns.
I played with max item spawns once. Found a set of crates right outside the evac shelter. Smashed them open and found more food in one crate than I’ve found in some vending machines on normal spawns, and in another one there were no fewer than fifty guns.
EDIT: Also I found a reflex recurve bow in this world (on an NPC) so you never know……
Can’t find anything to boil this bloody toilet water though
I did just find an RV with a teeny bit of water left in the tank though, so it looks like I won’t die of thirst for another day or so. The RNG giveth and the RNG taketh away.
That… doesn’t even make sense, is that a legit thing? Like if I smashed a bush until it became underbrush and searched it, I might find an empty can?
Thanks for reminding me about underbrush, might be a source of wild vegetables if nothing else.
EDIT: I FOUND A RIVTECH SHOTGUN ON A ZOMBIE. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON.
Also I realized that the kitchen unit on this RV will be able to cook food and boil toilet water for me as long as I keep the RV’s battery power up… and I can do that by letting the alternator run after I feed it gasoline. Wheels are all busted which is a drag, so this won’t be a mobile fortress but it’s something. Something like home.

You ‘e’ the bush, usually you find nothing but sometimes you find either trash, vegitables, or eggs.
You should try 0.01 item spawn, it’s a great and extremely tense challenge.
(Protip: You will never read any books so don’t even bother taking any INT.)
If you like tension and challange try x50 monster spawn with wandering hoards. I tried lowering the item spawn but I like hoarding too much.
I rode a bike past a friendly NPC, she hopped on the back and now we’re going on a magical adventure with no teachers or grown-ups to tell us what to do.
Nope, she gets off the bike when I stop it and release the controls. And for some reason she doesn’t feel the urge to steal any of my stuff except all of my lighters, which is a fine trade by me. Like whenever we kill a hostile NPC together she always grabs their lighter and nothing else.
