What weapons would you like to see in the game?

The gun stores make sense with the lore. Gun restrictions got all but abolished before the cataclysm and people loved to kill stuff. There’s a lore page on google docs somewhere that talks about it.

How about the obrez? sawed off pistol size mosin nagant. Would fit in a holster.

Already mentioned that in Artyom’s thread, and he kicked himself for not thinking about it.
Haven’t seen noticable results on it yet, though.

Still doesn’t make sense at all to have 4 of these stores at 1 intersection where a simple change to the sprts stores could carry the burden of supply and demand. Over having 3 or more in even a small town of 30 buildings. I mean really, it is immersion breaking even if people like these kind of stores.

I don’t think you understand. All states are Texas now, Red-scare is happening again, AND the government (likely with urging from gun manufactureres) is encouraging people to own ALL THE GUNS!

At this point they are likely collector items, protect your family in a dangerous time solution, and symbols of power and authority/ look how well off I am.

Thats how I look at it anyways. Gun stores probably also have insane tax deductions so whatever businesses can claim to be “gun stores” get basically tax free. Even if they do more business in some other area.

OH! recommend addition of duel purpose gunstores!

If all states are texas now, does that mean insanely long stretches of farm fields?

misconception. Thats North Dakota, or Wyoming or other middle of nowhere states. Texas has all 5…4? main terrain types, the entire west side being an extension of the Rockies. North East, mostly panhandle (the northern bar shape) are the main region that is extensively flattish farmland. Not that there isn’t alot of it, though it is even less if you are talking about only the Great Plains terrain type, and not including the Coastal plains terrain.

I live and have traveled across texas (once but still) and I have seen quite a stretch of farm land.

Unless you mean a mix of country roads, tiny little towns, fenced-in pastures, and indeed the occasional farm field…a good chunk of the state I’ve seen is, yeah.

Unless it’s both a major city AND on the interstate. o3o

Or. You mean or… for the most part. Yes there is alot of farmland though… also alot of big cities towards central Texas and along the coast. Unfortunately >.>

Maybe or. And/or. ;w;

Though the majority of the central Texas ones are indeed along I-35.

Anyway, to get us back on topic…I’m wholly in favor of the Obrez becoming a mainline item. Not as a legit findable, likely player-crafted only.

I want an obrez as well but will it be a one handed-sbr or a pistol variant? The two are possible with the pistol variant requiring more skill to make.

One handed-SBR:

Pistol:

Implying you couldn’t wield that SBR variant like a pistol. o3o

It clearly says ONE HANDED SBR. My issue is fitting on a holster and recoil.

Perhaps certain miscellaneous tank vehicles such as the FV438 Swingfire (not exactly that vehicle, perhaps more modern variations due to this whole alternate history stuff and whatnot), along with the guided weaponry and whatnot?
I can imagine an M113 APC would also come in handy and possibly be prevalent, too, depending on how much military presence is available homeland (a point more relevant for the former vehicle actually…)

Since there are people now making a reproduction Sturmgewehr in a grand total of four calibers and three styles (Semi-auto only though) for roughly $1800, well, Sturmgewehr please!

Also, to go along with it, .300 blackout(7.62x35mm) conversion kits, since thats one of the four calibers used in the repo and its also used with a number of other guns, notably the M4.

Asea, by any chance do you watch Forgotten Weapons?

If the gun culture has taken control, shouldn’t there be, well, some things that are more for show than use? Like a fifty millimetre sniper rifle that uses futuristic recoil suppression to knock you on your back instead of taking off your arm, or an automatic rifle with, like, fifty-round bursts, but you need to load the magazines with liquid nitrogen to stop the thing from melting…

Or would such things not sell?

A range toy that makes the range officer shit their pants is not going to sell well, no. o3o

What’d be nicer is if we had places that were gun ranges first, and shops second. Or maybe outdoor ranges…

Also, one of these days I need to see how best to shift the gun store’s layout around so that it has a proper two-door setup separating the store and range. Even though the sound system doesn’t allow for that sort of thing to door anything, it’d be a nice touch.

What gave it away? :stuck_out_tongue:
