Vehicle Show and Tell

I’ve created a monster.

I already have a little runaround that does everything I need, I built this for the sole purpose of crashing it through a town at 60mph. It already claimed one victim before it was finished building when a bear decided to attack me by climbing over the frame, all I had to do was fire up the engine and it was roast bear for dinner.

You lucky git. Looking forward to them.

“Since 2042, abandoned mineshafts of Arizona were home to series of clashes known as ‘Sun Runs’. Empty mines were surrounded by a shroud of mystery as Volden Groth, their last known wholeowner mysteriously went missing during one of his last inspections prior to public announcement of his plans for the hollow, thoroughly connected tunnels. Immediately after the first search&rescue party went blank on both radio and tracking devices the deadly racing-tier begun. Rules were simple: find at least 3 out of 8 flag signal drops placed in one of the main shafts of the interjoined mines and bring them to the finish line while trying to stay alive. Races went for days and more than 30 contestants were burried in the collapsed tunnels during the series. There was a bust; three federal agents were crushed dead near one of the sites so the response team hunted a few unlucky individuals that were held responsible. Rumors still whisper of yearly reenactments of this costly, criminal activity held mostly underground.”

A survivor’s car.

Holy cheese. Nice car!

So you had a solar car for underground race?

Well, since the roaming, murdering, devious play of the “let’s be the next search party” went on for almost a week, with no other fuel source than the sun that scorches the bottom of the pits that were the only mine sections in open air, sleep-depraved drivers hunting each other and the “flags” managed their (literal) pit stops that way if they were lucky enough to see one in the course of the run.
Anyway, it’s my show and tell and you’re all more than invited to run through the wastes in one of these.

Well, I’m currently working on an RV… Can anyone confirm for me whether I need a roof over the kitchen unit? I cannot seem to add one.

Latest experimentals (as in, this week): yeah. They merged that in not too long ago.

Earlier: no, it used to come with one. Confused me too.

Cross posting from Draw your Cataclysm:

A Willy Jeep:

My car, the Former Quad.

Its was, well a quad, that I extended to have moar trunks and junk. And wide wheels for ramming… and spikes! Its small enough to get past cars in towns, but I ogt stuck between two trees in a park. In the town. With over seven-hundred cubic tons of zombies incoming. This is the first car that I really customized, so I’m really proud. Also, EAT MAH BOLTER

My first custom car. I haven’t really had a chance to drive it around yet, but I am looking forward to it.

Speaking of versions, I’m confused. My game window is labelled 0.6git but the title screen says 7.1

I think that’s the stable build. The title screen is the correct one, they just forgot to update the window label.

Well, here it is in action… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3ZwaQwIY0c

I proudly present my new vehicle:
The House

(Water tanks still missing)

Edit: More reasonable size

John, that is beauty. That is simply beautiful.

But… but… there’s space left?
Also, windshields on the sides so the Zombies can watch and, well, eat themselves to death of envy.

So… I am working on my RV and I’m a little confused. Seems you can put steel plate and a windshield on the same tile.

What is the result if you do this? Super tough windshield?

I’m trying to work out how to get maximum (close as possible to 360 degree) vision while having an essentially monster and bullet proof vehicle.

We should really be able to weld rebar or pipes to windshields to make them a little stronger.

Or maybe use two sheets of glass instead of one, if you are arguing against due to visibility. reinforcing would be really nice though.
