Unescapable menu when NPC agrees to train

I come to the ‘a. get trained b. not get trained’ menu, when NPC agrees to train me. Neither pressing a, b, nor ESC does anything. The game does not freeze or crash, but cannot continue either.

Possibly this bug?

If you can, use an older build, like from commit acfd706cfe63be134936a289e4e1c365e84584b5 (Jan 04, 2017) or f136e3d688d24b4c5ea872d6d0156a3fdf6cd7af (Jan 20, 2017). Don’t know the build numbers, sorry.
