Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

Nah I went melee tank with a pole arm or sword. But thats a good ideal about pissing him off and getting him to attack me.

I wonder why you don’t lose morale points when you tell a robber to fuck off before killing him, but lose morale points if you kill him when he is looting you.

I believe the spores can burrow into your skin also so you need clothes with 100% coverage on all body parts. could be wrong though its been a while since I played.

What are the requirements for resisting infection (assuming I won’t actually fight them)? Is it down to the environmental protection stat? If so, how high must it be?
I believe TheKobold is right – it’s down to coverage %, where if every body part is 100% covered, the spores can’t infect you. I’ve used this strategy in-game recently and wasn’t infected, though I haven’t code-dived to truly verify it.
Do Npc’s not respect vehicle’s storage spaces any more?

I had npcs twice steal out of my cart then I have to run them down and kill them to get my loot back, and I’m stuck with the morale penalty for killing an innocent.
I was not aware npc s at one point did. That is why I don’t like keeping them around, they don’t respect your shit.

They aren’t even my npcs just wandering by and yanking shit out of the cart.

They did respect containers from what I remember, I thought it applied to vehicle containers too.

NPCs don’t try to steal your goods, when they can’t see those. If they happen to pass by the trunk, they see and steal.

When those stranger try to make away with my things, I stand in front of the thief, and steal those back while they are shouting “Get out of my way, dig!”. Sometimes they are so unobservant that I steal everything back as well as their lighter, snack, drug… Otherwise, they see and turn hostile, and then I beat them.

How do you steal from an npc?

Walk up to them or examine them, there should be a choice to steal from non-companion NPCs. Dunno how stats play into success chance, though.

Don’t try to steal from anyone who has a gun, unless you’re wearing some really strong protection.

Thanks!

Do you (or anyone) know if this is backed up by the game’s code? Again, I’m not a risk-taker by nature, so I want to make sure I get this exactly right!

I was pretty sure that environmental protection plays into it.

When I try to make the mini-map larger in the options, once I set it to 25 lines or any more than that, it stays the same size. It won’t go any larger than the 25 lines, no matter what number I set it. Any number of lines between 25-100 seems to keep it at the same size. Is there a way to make it any larger than that? It seems that some people on let’s plays have it larger, but maybe it’s just because of their screen resolution. I did try @1280x720 instead of @1920x1072 to see if it made a difference, and it wasn’t noticeable for me.

Thanks for all the help for my previous questions about Bunkers… I figure as much since the upper level looks kind of like a Rimworld kill box lol, I just wasn’t completely sure. I have yet to try using anything cleaver to block turrets, except closing doors when in a lab escape scenario and accidentally open a turret room door, but have it in the back of my mind for a rainy day… when the forecast is calling for heavy bullets to rain down from a turret and I’m in a jam.

Do bark tea or mugwort oil have antifungal effects or is player limited to antifungal drugs fungicide and royal jelly to fight fungal infection?

No. Fungal is not parasite.

I only know of those three ways to get rid of fungal infection (well, and Blood Filter bionic), but there are ways to craft fungicide (one recipe uses the stinger thingy from the fungal fighter triffid).

Hey guys,

So, i miss a component for the Scavenger Outfit i’m working on: a MRB jacket (empty).
A lifetime ago i’ve marked a military surplus that had a MRB (ceramic) one. It’s far enough.
My question is, is there a way to remove the ceramic plate from the MRB once i’ve grabbed it ? How to do so, UI wise ?

Thanks.
Edit:Oh, nevermind, it seems you only have to disassemble the item to get an empty jacket .
Let’s go ^^.

Disassemble it, which will remove the ceramic plates from the vest. Look at the vest on the inventory screen, and there should be an option to disassemble it.

You can also drop the vest on the ground and press b to butcher it, there should also be an option to disassemble it there.

Hey thanks

mugwort oil in real have some antifungal properties so thats why i asked.bark tea in game also have high survival rquiremnts so i presumed one of them may be more natural ingame way to fight fungal infection.cosidering there is natural disinfectant-thyme oil and natural antiparasitic medications its strange that antifungal driugs which require substantial chemical expertise and equipment are only way of fighting fungal infectionms.

how much painkillers is enought for cbm instalation?
