Good call. I also forgot to include going up and down stairs. I’ve updated it and deleted the old ones.
Just noticed i could craft grenades. Leaves plenty of room for irresponsible behaviour and !!FUN!!
So, how do you throw a throwing weapon ? Is detonation set on a hard 5 seconds after throw or can i change it like in a Worms game ? Does my skill being 0 imply there’s a chance the 'nade falls on my feet rather than among the target Zs?
Thanks ^^
Activate grenade, then throw it. It’s not 5 seconds, more like 5 turns. To throw anything: hit ‘t’, choose item, choose target. Simple as that. You can throw anything: rocks, knives… you can throw out cigarette butts, empty bottles or awful books while driving. Throwing skill is simply your throwing accuracy. The greater your strength the farther you can throw. Try throwing something while the Hydraulic Muscles CBM is active…
Is there any other way to get plant marrow other than by butchering triffids?
Well, at Throwing 7 I can confirm that this is also inflating damages…
Currently it’s mostly just waiting. I didn’t balance that wait time too well, I guess. It’s RNG.
Keep her by your side (not guarding), not hungry, not thirsty, not in pain and not damaged. It only ticks when NPCs are actually following.
If she hates you for reasons other than trust, it will be slow, though.
Speaking won’t make trust rise faster, but it will make convincing (to train) easier.
I see. So after leveling my speaking up to 3 and keeping her by my side for a couple of days the training request percentage leveled up to 8%. I don’t believe she has a reason to hate me, really. How much longer do I have to wait?
I’ve holed up in a house by the edge of town and my faulty alarm bionic has been giving me some serious trouble. I’ve barricaded all the windows in the house but the zombies just break the boards every single night anyway. Its come to a point where I can only get that much sleep before getting attacked by 4-6 zombies, leaving me tired the next day.
How much abuse can the boarded windows actually take? A zombie child was able to destroy one tile alone, and I can’t help but wonder whether these are really worth setting up. I’ve burned through 30+ two-by-fours and I’m starting to run a bit short.
Is it perhaps worth “upgrading” to reinforced boarded windows which take double the amount of wood to build? Will they deal with zombies better?
Come to think of it, I’ve actually suspected that newly installed solar panels don’t sometimes charge when they’re supposed to. Make sure the weather is CLEAR and SUNNY. If that doesn’t charge batteries, then restart the game.
Also, there was recently a bug that caused like 20x the intended fuel consumption. It’s been fixed since. Is it possible you are using the buggy version?
And you can’t really “connect parts wrong”. Solar panel and battery locations don’t matter, for example.
I found the problem with the car battery, apparently when I restarted the engine after the electric motor stopped working it didn’t switch over to the engine that had appropriate fuel. It ran the electric motor off the car battery until that died too. The storage batteries are charging now too, not sure if they’re finally getting enough sun or if they can charge from the alternator. I’m surprised that I apparently have to turn the car on and then select which engine I’m using instead of it asking which engine I’m starting. Running across a solar car and taking all it’s upgraded solar panels probably helped.
Recent Expies are weird. With enough solar power panels, Ive had bubble cars recharge themselves AT NIGHT
You’ve achieved the Solar Panel Singularity. By their powers combined they gain the ability to recharge themselves with MOONLIGHT!
Clearly in a few decades our solar panels will be so advanced they can charge off of moonlight.
I’ve had solar panel recharge during a rain.
Clearly that just tells us that in the future solar panels don’t work the same way they work now. Clearly in the future solar panels will magically teleport a small bit of the sun itself into the panels to produce the energy. That’s why they work at night… and in the rain.
And really yellow? That is one of the worst colors to make a solar panel out of so much light energy would be reflected with such a bright color. Clearly the panels being yellow is solid proof that they work by magically teleporting the sun itself down to earth to power the solar panel.
On the topic of throwing items…
Does anyone know if throwing something from the inventory is significantly slower than wielding something and then throwing it?
With throwing I’ve noticed almost literally no delay. But I have a char right now with some skill in throwing. I’ll run a quick test.
Throwing from inventory is significantly faster. I did not have any knives on hand so I threw chicken eggs. Throwing 1 egg from inventory took 6 seconds. Wielding the eggs first took 6 seconds just to wield, then another 6 to throw. Totaling 12.
Also chicken eggs when thrown do not break. Must be mutant chickens.
Welp, that settles it. My next character is going to be a chicken themed superhero who throws eggs with the force of bullets.
I threw a cigar butt at a zombie schoolgirl and i liked it :).
Actually, they should, at least some. OK, in the RAIN is a bit much, but when it’s cloudy, they still should - it’s possible to sunburn through clouds, for instance (EXPERIENCE).
Yeah, ok, THAT is obviously silly. Something wrong there.

Am I the only one who thinks that looks like he’s constipated?

A boarded up window’s bash has a str_min of 3
A reinforced boarded up window has a str_min of 12.
AFAIK terrain doesn’t really have a health value or anything, they either break partially/completely or don’t.
Many zombies have 3 melee, but fewer have 12 or more, that said a group of zombies still has GROUP_BASH so groups will still go right through them no problem.
So yeah, a boarded up window is useless but a reinforced boarded up window can stop individual zombies if they aren’t particularly strong.
Edit: you could stop about 3 regular zombies with a reinforced boarded window, whereas I don’t know if the boarded up window can even stop one.

Thanks Greiger.
So the speed between throwing from the inventory compared to throwing a wielded item are the same, with the exception how long it takes to wield the item.
