Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

Upside: you can trade and/or fight with them, and/or debug-kill for loot

Downside: Glitchy, prone to throwing errors, tend to be quick on the trigger.

Do trunks on vehicles every spawn with items? I have never found anything in vehicles.

At the moment? No. Eventually planned? Yes.

can anyone explain what K Mass and K Dynamics on the vehicle construction are for? It’s nagging at me and I can’t really get a clear understanding of it XD

Just a tip - that little shopping cart affects only your moving speed.
Feel free to chop bitches with your zweihander wile dragging your precious loot around.

It’s the mass and dynamic properties of the car modified by wheel area and various assumed sizes of parts I think. I believe it’s one of those things that was more prevalent in the older system, but might bear looking at to see if it really needs to be that way.

Erm … thanks a lot. Now I feel REALLY stupid. But at least another use for my No-Dachi, next to slicing zombies into bits.

i build my first motorcycle but when i try to drive the game say “motorcycle doesn’t have enought wheels"
my motorcycle have two 13” wheels, of course, but somehow the game doesn’t recognize them
what could be the problem?

ok, i try to spawn a motorcycle from the debug menu and the game still say "motorcycle doesn’t have enought wheels"
same with the bicycle
what the hell is goin’ on??

Are you using experimental version? I just confirmed this is happening in experimental version. Looks like bipeds are broken atm. You can always make a quad.

edit: It appears scooters work. So small wheels are counted for only 2 wheels. But for whatever reason it appears that motorcycle wheels require 4.

yeah, i use the windows sdl experimental build
thanks for your reply, i will build a quad then =)

My torso had some serious bleeding problems after I was mauled by a pack of about 6 cougars. I’m home now but my torso’s still lagging behind seriously and I don’t want to chance getting mauled again seeing as how common cougars are. How can I get healed up if all my bandages and first aid kits are gone? There’s no real option to rest in bed to heal up and I’m nowhere near a liquor store to try and mock up some bandages. I tried waiting in bed but it doesn’t get me any health back. Is my only option to wait until enough time passes that I’m tired enough to sleep? That’ll make me burn through my supplies pretty quick doing that for a couple days.

There’s a certain CBM that can make healing large amounts trivial as long as you’ve got the power. Other than that, your choices are wait until you sleep again (I suggest doing lots of reading in the meantime), or go find some first aid/bandages.

What exactly does the ‘Granade’ do? I thought it functioned like a regular nade with a different name. Only instead of explosion in shouted ‘BUGFIXES’ and didn’t seem to do anything…

Guess I’ve got to add raiding liquor stores to the list of stuff to do on a new character, then. I had no idea the stuff would be important outside of getting wasted for morale. Thanks.

Dont forget the sweet molotovs either

Wait, did it say bugfixes or did it just fail to explode?
If it said Bugfixes, it was probably a Joke about Kevin Granade.
I think I spelt his name right.

Yup, the Granade item is an in-joke.

Actually, The Granade actually fixes bugs.
If you find more of them then you’ll get perfect game.

Ya’ll realise that I’m joking, right?

Actually you are not that far from the truth a Granade has very interesting effects on you (and I guess also monsters)

REVERTS: returns you to max health and fully erases your hunger, tiredness and thirst
NERFS: harms you and may affect your attributes negatively
BUFFS: the opposite of a nerf
BUGFIXES: unknown effect
