Ah thats why. Yes, I pretty much only observed the acid rain on tables, maybe also chairs.
Press the amount you want to drop before pressing the item number. Ferex, if aspirin was d, you'd type d, 100, d.
Oh sweet, thanks!

ah. if you add craftable shovels may i suggest two kinds?
metal and wood, with wood being less useful and slower.
Good to hear we can finally craft shovels. They seem to be pretty rare for some reason, and they are extremely useful. Same with wood axes (while we can craft chainsaws it’s weird that we can do that and not create a simpler tool for the same purpose).
BTW kudos to the team working on all this. I just discovered it a few days ago via One F Jef’s LP and I’m loving it so far.
And thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread and others with tips. Thanks to those I managed to finally get a character to survive up to the 6th day of summer.
how do you build palisade walls?
i have everything needed, but no surface are good for building, it always say “You cannot build there”, i tried build on dirt, grass, road, in pits, on floor (it’s all outside) but no luck
Should be constructable in a deep pit.
deep pit works, thank you
damn, i hoped these walls at least will be opaque, and you cannot build them on roads too… well, back to heavy stick gathering
I got a few questions. Where do i obtain string so that i can make Chitinous arm guards. I also have problems lighting things on fire since i use it as a way to get rid of rotten trash. Is there some renewable material that i can use to start fires (id much rather use the stick to recharge my bionic battery and give me water)
Can an electrohack substitute ID cards? (found a military bunker filled with useless items and i dont want to waste my ID’s on it)
Lastly i bitchsmacked a hulk… Just so hyped that i had to say that somewhere.

Apply scissors on rope.
Ahaha lovely. The two items that i thought was useless and left behind. Let me sit down on this mountain of horded flashlights and feel stupid.
Thanks
It’s been a little while since I used one, but you can substitute an electrohack for an ID card. In fact, that is their entire purpose.
Note however, that based on your Intelligence, and Computers and Electronics skills, there is a random chance to destroy your electrohack, destroy the terminal, and summon sentry turrets. However, so long as you have high skill, you can use them fairly safely, and there are always grenades for the terminals that fry.
you realize you can take batteries out of flashlights, right?
Flashlights make excellent car headlights.
You can also dump gasoline to start fires. Can’t really do that with a pit though, and gasoline technically isn’t infinite. But putting some gas in a glass flask will let you get quite a lot of fires out of a single jerrycan of gas.
Also if you are doing almost any kind of construction project and making your own 2x4s you will have far far far more splintered wood than you could ever reasonably use. Plenty for fire starting and anything else you could ever reasonably use them for. I chopped down 2 trees and got 6 full tiles filled a to z with splintered wood.

The point of palisade walls is to act as an exterior defense that you can fire and see through
If you (a)ctivate a jackhammer towards a road, you can drill it up, then dig a pit in the rubble, and regular log walls work fine to block sight.

Boost construction skill to increase your output of planks.

As a man who is presently hunting shovels to build palisade and log walls, I appreciate this info! Especially glad that log walls don’t require rope or I’d get to build like, 3.
I was pondering making them require rope, but decided against it. I might rebalance them a little in future if I need to. They’re supposed to be the survivalist woodsman’s walls, shouldn’t really require a trip to the hardware store to build.
When you add farming, Hemp would make a totally reasonable thing to cultivate, hmm? Rope and recreation!
When you see a spider lair you have to follow 3 simple steps:
Get a stick
Put the stick right next to the lair
Use your lighter on the stick and enjoy the show
Seriously, I hate spiders so much that I burn them down even if I’m for example travelling by and never intend to visit the place again.

Right i forgot that you could blow the walls up… Suppose the mininuke that i found off a dead scientist would not be such a good idea though. Thanks for the info however.
One more thing. How do you learn more martial arts?
