Chesthole does do updates for PRM. The guy who does it added sprites for the crab things that spawn near shipwrecks. Pisskop just added more creatures than the Chesthole guy can sprite.
So, if I make them stand guard, they can just hang out in the power armor, but I can’t make them use the manual A7 turrets I’ve set around my base… That’s less than ideal, but kitting them out with Alpha Serum should make up for some problems.
I know NPC stuff is always in the works, even if it isn’t a huge focus (I love the recent improvements), so maybe in the future they can sit in my turrets hooked up to my solar array. I should check if the UPS charger works on items in your inventory while on the tile, then I can just make them the A7 turret.
Oh, does overstuffing yourself with bionics have penalties yet?
Does the Reptilian Healing trait let you heal broken limbs without needing a splint?

I think it’s the same as ‘regeneration’ mutation. Not sure though.
I’m saying this because certain mutations of different branches do the same thing as other mutations.
I.E. Full Night Vision and Fey Vision, Reptilian Infrared vs Infrared vision, etc.
There are official “caps” in place right now, but are in no way restrictive. Only visible as future limits currently only used for testing and pondering purposes.
What a relief, I really like stuffing myself with bionics and, while I know it can be a bit too powerful, it’s where I get a lot of my fun. I hope when the restrictions are meaningfully implemented, there is an opt-out mod, though I do also hope that the cap brings about some other new bionics to play with, for those that like the cap and want a little more out of their limited space. (and when I try to play with it. I try out each new change to see if I like it at least once. Magazines were a nice change, dirty clothes were… Well, they were pretty negligible to me as clothes from dressers and stuff were clean. Wasn’t a fan of nutrition, even though the negatives weren’t enforced when I tried it. Couldn’t get enough calcium after my milk rotted. Multivitamins shot me into hypervitaminosis too much.)

Yea. I imagine the Opt-out mod will be simultaneous with the official restriction implementation.
I would assume that once it goes in, there will be ways to buff the max bionic volume one way or another, to a point, as well. Like exterior mountings, or multi-thought brain enhancement that makes it so you can handle more sensory input or someinng etc…

So, the first floor of a lab I found is -9F during the day in spring. Is this cold enough to keep my food from ever spoiling or do I need to go another floor down?
If the lab is deep enough, the temperature could reach absolute zero. So deeper is usually better.
The only thing that matters is minus in the temperature.
The floor doesn’t matter, nor does an adjacent tile with hot temperature.
I’ve been playing this game for years yet I still don’t have any idea on how to pick mushrooms. I’m pretty sure they’re in the game, but I have no idea where to find them and how to get them.
I recall that they’re found in the forest, but where?
You can find shrooms in shrubs within the right seasons.

This may be a silly question, but how do you use the 120mm remote weapon system?
It says it’s for remote controlled use. Does that mean you can fire it fron your vehicle’s driving seat when it’s several squares away, or is there another mechanic to use it?
i.e. Should I just replace my tank gun with it?
Also, with vehicle turrets in general, is there a way to switch between ammo types?

It works like a automatic turret; but i don’t think you want a 120mm cannon firing on it own…
the semi-manual mode was bugged last i knew… so you cant aim all automatic weapons form the controls for 1 attack
It has 4 more shots then a normal tank cannon at least!
I’m using an outdated version so I’m hoping all my turrets etc are fully functional.
I’m still mystified about how turrets and mounted weapons handle ammo types.
What happens if you dump a pile of frag grenades on the MK19 grenade machine gun and then put some buckshot rounds on the tile as well?
Does it fire them at random? In order of loading? Do you select them somehow?
This would seem to be a fairly major issue with the tank cannons considering how different the shell types are.
